Daily CBB Thread - 12/17

Large card today. Hope to see some good thoughts and more winners (or keeping folks off of losers).

Haven't gotten all the the way through today yet, but this one sticks out as a possible play:

Wyoming -9.5 - Cornell has been off for 17 days and now they travel to 7,000 feet to take on an uptempo Wyoming squad. Cornell shoots a fair amount of threes - shots that might come up short in the second half as the altitude takes its toll. The Big Red has lost by 11 and 15 to Siena and Monmouth, the two uptempo teams they have faced.

I took UCLA -8.5. UCLA has covered 9 of 11 and Ohio St. Has only covered 3 of 8. The Bruins won by 5 at Kentucky and Ohio State lost at home to lowly Florida Atlantic. Shows a big disparity in these teams.

Georgetown +6.5 (1u) them and Syracuse old big East rivals Georgetown got some shooters on the squad and can keep it a close one, it's gonna be tough at the carrier dome but I think Gtown can keep it close

I am a Tar Heel fan and I do not bet on/against my Heels. That being said,
I am surprised that the UNC/UK game is a pickem. UNC is just getting back
Joel Berry, their best player and point guard from injury missing the past two
games. UNC has struggled without him, but I would be surprised if they are
hitting on all cylinders with him just getting back. KY is loaded as usual. Monk
is as good as Berry and those two should negate each other. UNC might
have the edge in rebouding, but KY can shoot and score easier/better.
Justin Jackson is the X factor for the Heels. If he is on, UNC has a shot.
If he is just okay, I would be surprised in the Heels can win. I am pulling
for the Heels obviously, but if I was betting ,would have to take KY!!! FWIW.

This is a weird day for me. All but one of the totals I like moved considerably before I could get them. I still like that Wyoming play even at -10.5. Also like Fresno/Pacific o141.5, but hoping it'll creep down a bit more before I lock it in/post it.

Hope the rest of you are having better luck finding games.

FWIW, if there were a grand salami for college basketball today, I would look at the under. A lot of totals seem a little inflated (but not enough for me to jump on the unders right now).

Nope Dame +1 (1u) watching notre Dame in the early part of the season they have a good offense and play tight defense. A veteran squad who can make a run this season. It'll be a good game but I think notre Dame wins pretty easily in the crosstown rival match up.
