That's only because they have adjusted the totals so high.

I complained about this last year, but now it's worse because the programs
are acclimated to the new style, and the players are gamed for it.

What this amounts to is much less value for bettors, as the .5 to 4 pt
area which used to mean everything just isn't worth the cost, it's a
mathematical reality that more points = less value for differentials.
Other sports now a better proposition, like I said... good luck.
I'll get my bball fix from the other leagues.

I played HS/College pre shot clock. So anything is better than that.

Used to be a nice, cheap night out to go see a college hoops game.
Tons of schools within 15 minutes of where I was in my 30s.

It doesnt seem as bad as it was when they first made the changes. Seems they were sneaky smart and got the kids to play at a faster pace, seems thats been the outcome in all of this. When the rules were first changed, guys saw they could get a foul or two pts fairly easily just by driving or being aggressive, but the games Ive watched they dont call everything like they did when the rules were first changed, but it hasnt stopped the teams from playing faster or being more aggressive. I never was a totals bettor really and the totals havent gone back down or anything, if anything their higher. There used to be many teams that were notorious for playing at a slow pace, Id bet those teams play faster now.

snowball is smart,
what happened to the Notre Dame execution in the second half
When a spread is -7 as opposed to -4 there is more variance on how much a team will cover
A couple of other things, The class with Kaminsky, Towns and all these players
alot of talent left college basketball, teams are rebuilding,
The turnover from year to year weakens the product because teams dont work together long enough
A team like Wisconsin has real good chemistry and their big thing was dont give those cheap fouls

Some game are an exception where the refs stay out... Indiana's upset game last night the whistles were so far in their pockets the kids were afraid to lay anything up in the paint lol

I can't even watch 5 minutes of college hoops or NBA anymore.

The sport is pretty much unwatchable compared to when I was growing up.

These guys don't care about fundamentals or teamwork, most only care about dunking.

The NBA before playoffs is like the penetrating Solar Eclipse-PAINFUL lol.....College there is at least heart and effort involved...college games come down to the crew doing the game....some are horrible while others know the game.....HUGE difference in the way games are being called....

It has most certainly changed the way I bet,in a negative way. In all sports,when I bet totals.....I bet about 85% of my games are under! It is just the way a like to bet them. And with college hoops( have not bet an NBA game in 15 years! ) I really liked betting the 1st half unders, but now it's much harder and I have scaled back the amount that I would have bet. Now games go on as I mostly expected......but. bam,bam,bam...both teams in the bonus+ with 6 min. left in the half......it happens a lot. But will not change my way of doing things and bet overs. I will just past or make a smaller bet!.................................... .........gl

Did anyone read the link I posted about THIS YEAR's changes ?
I say they can shove it.

I'd much rather bet International basketball and even NBA.
Books have to love it, all the added intangibles in CBB, they
will rake in millions and millions...and the half pt or 2 pts you
buy is useless.. totals, well.. enjoy hoping all those free throws
go in or not, may as well bet darts, same thing.
