... when you look at who Northern Iowa has beaten. North Carolina, Iowa State and Wichita State are better than anybody who A&M has beaten, especially when you take into consideration that NI beat State in their home. Up to this point, no real Cinderellas have made it to the Sweet 16 ... I never say lock, as there is no such thing, but Northern Iowa has a great chance of covering the 7 and a better than average chance of winning outright. I've been fortunate enough this week to take $500 and boost it to $16,000. $2500 of it is going on the NI moneyline ...

if you do not count beating the Zags...texas..iowa st...Kentucky...lsu 2x....you may be on to something......I'm not big on A&M myself, but they have won a few games against some good teams...

Good point. They both beat Texas and Iowa State, I do not give much credence to the LSU and Gonzaga wins (notwithstanding the draw the latter has gotten to reach the round of 16) - the Kentucky win does concern me a bit, but if you look at their big wins, they all seemed to take place at home. Not so with NI. I am not saying it will be a blowout, but I do think NI will win without needing a last second shot this time around.

Nothern Iowa has had to many games were they struggle to get more than 55 points. In the tourney you have to score. Texas A&M may dump them by 20 just like they did Greenbay.

A&M could do just that, but looking at how NI finished the season and the wave they are riding, I just don't see it happening. Iowa getting lit up by Nova today was more predictable since Iowa has been limping the last month or so ... I will say they have to get out to a good start. If they find themselves down 8-10 in the first ten minutes, things could get ugly.

A&M has 16 wins against the top 100. Of those 8 were against top 50.

UNI has 8 top 100 wins. Of those 6 were top 50.

I understand the SEC hate cuz of poor tourny showing but A&M is not a slouch by any means. They should win this game. Doesn't mean they will.

7 of those aren't worth considering for the purposes of the level of competition they will be playing tonight.

Also when you consider how close those games were, there is inevitably some lucky breaks going their way. Consistently winning 1-2 possession games is really really tough to do.

Against top 100 competition their average margin of victory over that 15 game stretch is 3 points.

That scares me.

Gonazaga, UNI, VCU, Butler and Wichita State always show up in March.

Even if they don't win straight up they usually cover. I'm pretty sure if you backed all of those teams every game in the tourney you would be up a nice chunk.
