#22298just goes to show so many unfigurable variables..the horse who busted out to the lead had 1 race prior 5 days ago (kind of interesting) ..line in that race
7-4/6-7/6-12/6-16
same distance and surface
mine figured to have the lead (pace figs also) was stalking all the way around..that one just missed at the wire at 20-1 +Last edited by JBEX; 05-20-20, 01:21 PM.Comment -

#22299Drill bit race 9. But a solid effort in last out. I think he started his drive way to soon and it was way to long. Went from last to first then fell to 4th if he repeats the race he wins here has 1 post. Any thoughts on him.Comment -

but if I were looking at it from my point of view ..
can excuse the race 2 back in the slop but two prior races did absolutely nothing doing the same thing ..what happened last race kind of out of the blue
what I don't like is feel he was aided by a very fast pace last race
what I do like is he was a length off at the stretch call and they're cutting back a furlong today
mendez is a halfway decent turf jockey and besides gallardo the turf jockeys here are pathetic (ademar santos #2 ok)
if 5 decides (or is capable..last pace figs slow but ones in her debut at a higher level might do it) to go with my 6 could set up nicely for youComment -

#22316Yeah. Looked at the CD card, quick R7 #8 Stylishly (20-1 ML). DeVaux was cold but won twice last weekend. No slam dunk, but might be worth a look for the price. I remember winning with this one at SA last year. Dirt try last out was poor, but prefers the turf and distance 5-2-1-0.Comment -

that's a great race and think that off the turf race last out might be a good leg stretcher for yours..on the brisnet the winners figure for that race was really fast and of course trainer off to a big start.. want to look at that one moreComment -

#22322I gotta say, I love Saturday’s Louisville card
Lots of rain like every day predicted
but Friday should be good and hopefully the return holds off until sat night atleast
Sunday - all next week looks like downpour
good idea for horse handicappers is a better weather service app
because sometime you might play say , Tampa bay downs and check Tampa weather
but oldsmar Florida is different (where it’s actually located)Comment -

#22323Been a little under the weather last couple weeks, so haven’t had the chance to pitch in, but have a couple I like tomorrow at Churchill I’ll give some input on.
Race 8...#5 Moorac 8/1, was up against much tougher earlier this year after breaking her maiden in December at Hawthorne in her first race on dirt. That race earned a 73 beyer, which ties for tops with this group. After going up against stakes winners Ring Leader and My Italian Rabbi in her next 2, she dropped to a better level last out when running 3rd in a $30k claimer. The winner of that race(Cherished) came back to win a 50k Starter Allowance next out and the 4th place finisher(Blinkers) ran 2nd here Sunday in a 50k claimer. I think she is ready for big race as she stretches out to 1 turn mile here.
Race 9...#2 Alkhaatam 20/1, had his first win in a year last out in the slop at Oaklawn Park recording a career high beyer(91). Now switches to the turf, which he tried once before last summer finishing a closeup 5th,beaten just over a length in a stakes race at Ellis Park. 2 solid works since that last race.Comment -

#22325churchill R7
only ones of the non a/e's that I wouldn't play are
3-dalika (5-2) don't want short price on a horse who hasn't recently been sprinting
9-more (12-1) never run on the turf
think all others are reasonable but I'll pick 3 of them
#1 vj's bet (15-1)
5 starts in turf sprints (under 5.5f) and 4 of those 5 showing here.. the kentucky downs at 6.5f not one of them..
like that she just missed first time she tried it here and followed up with another good effort right after where she was very wide on the turn.. lost by a half length and and a full length respectively... the fact that it happened on this course is meaningful to me
following effort at arlington disappointing no way around it
then next start just missed by a head at kentucky downs in a 12 horse field.. handling that course to me shows versatility even though it was an extended length turf sprint
skip the dirt race and then a n2x alw at keeneland which wound up on the brisnets to be a very fast figure race.. finished 6th of 12 in after showing early lick to the stretch call.. final figure not terrible
last off the turf race means nothing and if anything might have given her a little exercise
like this resume at a price
#4 mentality (4-1)
toss the last in a listed stakes on a yielding track..
everything else pretty self explanatory.. runs everytime including a win off a similar layoff last year.. want to try and beat her at what'll in my guess be around 5-2
#6 devant (4-1)
competitive vs grade 3 and handicap horses in france.. longer turf sprints then this but like the class factor as racing over there generally considered superior to here.. if turf comes up good or worse that's even better
