Thursday Gulfstream


Scattered Storms predicted throughout the week, Check the chances/surfaces.


Race 1


This race has figures to have plenty of early pace, handicapping conclusion is deemed important the turf is firm for these choices to apply. I would only use the top 3 in horizontals, of in this field of 10. #7 Gea (12/1) , 3 year old filly was only beaten by 1.5 while trying winners for the first time. That last race the Winner walked on the lead going 24 and 49 and this one was stalking that soft pace. With more pace, and the added the distance, while getting in light, makes this one a big player at a number. #6 She Fled the Scene (5/2) , Kathy drops this 4 year old filly down a few notches in this spot, and cashing a few checks vs tougher. Another that figures the trip , wheeled back in 2 weeks. #1 Aerodynamic (4/1) , I don’t get excited about backing these horses after Todd’s Dumps them. New barn decides to add the blinkers while trying winners for the first time. Hector aboard is an encouraging sign. #5 Strella’s War (3/1) , Finished just half length off the #6 in the last try. Irad gave this one a wonder ground saving trip, and tipped out late. Really think he made that running line, and I feel this one will be over bet as Saez almost always is. #4 Jost Sayin (6/1) , Tyler takes over for Joel, and this 5 year old mare just refuses to get her picture takin’. 6 straight of the same performances , will not be using on top, but need to include in the verticals.


Race 2


Is a 4.5 furlong sprint for 2 year olds. Not really something I’m interested in, Especially with the Ward/Tyler going to be really short price. Nicks Hits a big clip at first asking with these, but draws the rail. Couple of these are getting in light at big prices.


Race 3


Well Im not playing the early horizontals pools, as I don’t like this race either. Field is loaded with speed, and it’s anyone’s ball game.


Race 4


Yet Another Race I don’t wanna steer anyone into making an action bet. Im not seeing this race clearly at all.


Race 5


Wide open MSW , I’ll give you a long shot Play. #3 Stormy Derby Day (15/1) , Thomas Bush moved this one up after debuting for the tag, and showed improvement. I like the work on Fools Day , and should take another step forward back in for the tag, 3 year old filly is hidden here.


Race 6


I’ll just write on the top pick here. This field has plenty of speed and the #6 Looking At Roses (9/2) , Fits the dream trip here on the cutback.


Race 7


Passing this race also, Not much action for me to start the week. Field has some past talent that barns are trying to get rid of.

#2 Philly Special (9/5) , Should handle these while getting the perfect stalking setup. You’d think #4 Maries Melody (6/1) , Will be sent off the layoff, Along with #5 Chouchou de Boo (9/2) , #9 Lake Parima (6/1) , presents a little bit a scare to the top choice, but I’ll take the wait and see approach.


Race 6


This is a 2 horse race, #8 Mihos (9/2) , Jimmy Jerkens has this one perfectly spotted. Just look at that back class this 4 year colt totes in for this 2nd off the layoff try. #6 Sniper Shot (6/5) , 4 year old gelding hasn’t been able to get a in racing rhythm, but is a clear must include.


Race 7


#9 Neverstopdreaming (8/1) , Get’s Claimed after a rough trip as the beaten favorite, but the breeding has been begging to try to lawn, and the new barn does just that. #6 Suoper Shenanigan (7/2) , Has to be left in the mix, but it a tough gelding to figure trying the dirt for the first time. I Also want to inlclude 2 horses coming off long layoffs here, that fit. #1 Poppy’s Destiny (8/1) , & #3 Reservenotattained (6/1) , #11 Sovereighn Warrio (9/2) ,makes a lot of sense underneath vertical tickets


Race 8


#4 Jades Gelly (5/2) , Absolutely love, Ward barns paid over 25x the stud fee for this one, and only lost by 1.75 lengths to MinittoWinit when they lost this horse to Navarro. Its sad to think what she’s went through in that outfit, but Now back in the Ward barn off the reclaim and after which I assume had to wait the 60 days to clean the system. Has been working great and now gets in protected. Ward has some plans for this one. #5 Shippy (7/2) , Has found a new barn after each of her 3 starts. And if Mr. Weaver can find some of that saratoga form, would be a clear player. I think she might need a race. #11 Notorious R B G (3/1) , Was very impressive breaking the debut, Tyler returns for Clement. Would be tough to toss, trying winners for the first time.


Race 9


$6 Fortin Hill (9/5) , Must use Chad Brown runner, hasn’t done anything wrong to date. #7 Moonoverseba (8/1) , Has to be left in the mix, if the favorite doesn’t show up. #3 Noon Time Gem (12/1) , Is hiked up in class 1st off the claimed, after a clear runner up to Hidden Scroll. This Barn could of found easier fields. #4 Vinnie Van Go (8/1) , 4 year gelding has won 3 of 4, only losing to Sniper Shot, who we are using in 6th.


Race 10


I don’t recall seeing this 65k Maiden Claiming condition too often. This is a really talented field, that the big tag here would expect. #12 Magic Street (7/2) , Was only beaten by 4 to Proven Strategies, and makes the top pick. #3 Cowtown (5/1) , is trying the turf for the first time, but 2 back ran second to Modernist., and now drops in for the biggest tag I can remember for Maidens. #1 King of Rock (12/1) , Was highly regarded , and finds the surface he wants here. Gargan has big numbers, and paco was going to ride. #7 Chocolate Bar (8/1) , Don’t want Mike Maker to beat me here if I make it to this last leg. #9 Eagles Palace (15/1) , was running again American Butterfly, Irish Mis, Basin, and Three Technique, last summer @ the spa, Mott can have them ready. #10 Maverick Kitten (4/1) , Another maker. No surprise to see 4 others trying to knock on the door for this level.

Yes. I played it straight 4 double. but I did get 4 win and place on the 3. I wize man once told me never play a double pick3 pick 4 without playing a horse to win that's over 5 to 1 and you like. It.. never go away empty handed. ..
