I really like the kid Montgomery, he's a 6'6 lefty w/ 4 pitches and is fearless. Beautiful move by Joe to push debut in this spot as opposed to the Cardinals on Sunday.

Blake Snell had a rough outing to start season, but the #'s are skewed. He had 5 walks and ended up giving up a grand slam. He has great #'s vs the Yankees and his command is better than it showed vs Toronto.

Both pens are rested and the weather will not have much of an impact, around 70• , light breeze blowing left to right, w/ overcast. Air density sitting @ 67.

Freeland was excellent in the home opener debut and no reason why he can build on that, w/ the new found confidence. Rockies get 5+ today and I think thats plenty to get the win

I like it, I hope tb pulls it out though. I was thinking similar but I think his debut will factor in and he'll give up a few runs, plus can tb really be shut down offensively like that 2 games in a row?
