Well for one thing, he pitches in a pitchers' park, that's part of it. Doubt anyone on the staff gets "great run support" when you break it down. But beyond that, there's no meaningful correlation to a pitcher and the runs he receives unless you believe his teammates somehow tense up, or relax too much. I guess it could be that the opposing SP always brings his A game, kind of like a title-defending team getting everyone's "best shot."

I've always thought that pitchers who get good run support are themselves not the greatest of pitchers..... You aren't going to put your ace on the mound when the other team is trotting out their #4 guy... you put out your #4 guy.... just talking about the correlation of certain pitchers getting good run support.

i understand this. It still doesnt change the fact that he doesnt seem to get run support.. Youre getting much too far into it.

In mid 8, i took o0.5 runs in 8th +285 (considering it was a PH, then top of order cor cubs) and cubs NO bat in 9th inning +310.. Possibly double whammy right there

Same here. But I parlayed the total over and under. Won both, with a push on total, but put $100 on Atl at +575 in the 7th b4 cubs lit it up. $600's bet, and won $60. Had to cover my ass cause I was gettin worried. Just glad I came out ahead.
