Am I the only one who thinks Wich St is bad this year? UNLV has wins against Indiana and Oregon and barely loss to UCLA... I know its in Wichita but +7??? Seems really high to me... Any thoughts?

#2Wichy went thru a very tough stretch there with tough opponents PLUS not having Fred, which was a nightmare. He's back though.
And I intiailly thought, wow 7 pts is way too many. But at this pt, I wanna see them with their PG back (he's an all American so...). And UNLV first road test, young team.Comment -

#4First road game will be tough for UNLV, and Wichita state should have fans rockin with VanVleet back. That's my take on the unquantifiable aspects.
As for matchups, UNLV has a major, major size advantage pretty much throughout the lineup but most importantly in the paint. With Shockers' Grady still out, they lack interior presence to score, rebound, or defend.
I think 7 points is too much for wichy state to cover.Comment -

#5That size advantage could spell major trouble for wichy too... They haven't shot the ball well by any means this year. And with no real post threat, thy defense can focus on those guards...Originally posted by DOM_TorettoFirst road game will be tough for UNLV, and Wichita state should have fans rockin with VanVleet back. #6I thought the same thing but am not gonna touch this one with FVV returning as we don't really know what this Witchertah Stayt team is capable of.Comment -

#7True... We know what they were capable of last year, with the same FVV-Baker combo plus they had Tekele Cotton, and they took a step backwards on the front court as well - especially wth the Grady injury now.Originally posted by MoMoneyMoVaughnI thought the same thing but am not gonna touch this one with FVV returning as we don't really know what this Witchertah Stayt team is capable of.Comment -

They just don't have enough help around them. They're great two players but no cotton hurts... No big man HURTSComment -

#9I think this is a much better UNLV team then in years past. I could see Wichita really struggling with the height/length of UNLV. If you give Wichy 3 or 4 points for home court, you still have to assume that they are 3 or 4 points better than UNLV, and I just dont think thats the case this year. It's 7.5 in my book right now, and I just see too many possible ways the Rebels could cover that.Comment -

#13Wichita is still a top 25 team right now. Not having Grady hurts is a big blow though. I still think Wichita should cover this. I made this line around 10 and that was discounting a couple points from Wichita for Grady not playing which seems fair.Comment -

#14I very much like this UNLV +7.5. I even put a bit on the ML because Wichita has not impressed me AT ALL this year, UNLV has thoughComment -

#18Looks like he'll need a little time to find his groove. If not for his 2 clutch late FTs he would've been totally worthless last night.Originally posted by THam12Wichy gets Conner frankamp tonight as well.
