milkshake...we really arent too familiar with eachother but my name is Snevens. Without sounding arrogant or too forthright, i really like to share opinions and discuss all sorts of plays. however, i feel as tho, most of the time, im met with a fair amount of incredulous rebuttal. I hate the term bragging cause it just really gives a haughty connotation to whatever context ur using it in, but people on this forum lose sight of the fact that no one is playing against eachother but rather its us against the books. If someones on a nasty run why not support them and continue to try to make the best selections possible.

Ive been fortunate enough this week to go 8-1 over the last three nights and i feel as though my capping skills are really beginning to emerge. I know this sounds like a bunch of bull shit just tryin to talk myself up, but i just wanted to state my feelings that i believe one of my stronger attributes when capping, is the ability to really look at things a bit differently. This is why i was so intrigued by ur thread and really felt the need to share some insight ha. what i mean by this tho, is that instead of tryin to pick one way or the other on one particular bet, simply move on and try and pick some better spots where u know u have a bit more of an edge.

Like urself, i have also teetered over this play a little, and the only real feeling i get from it is that the play can really go either way. obviously you could cap the hell out of any type of selection and still have a 50-50 shot in being right or wrong. what im sayin tho, is that sometimes u scan over a day's card and u look for plays that u think u 'like' or u think u have a 'lean towards'...but sometimes its best to go about it a bit differently and perhaps try to pick out the selections u know your just too on the fence to pull the trigger over. I find that this method can be very helpful, particularly when the amount of plays on a given night tends to be a bit lighter than usual. (i.e NCAA tourney).

Im sorry if i just wasted ur time but i feel that bouncing thoughts and ideas off eachother can do nothin but help when its done in an orderly and positive manor. BOL tho, im sure we'll cross paths again soon

Dude...bragging???? Please bro!!! I am looking for help!!! Your are my main guy now Sneavens! And honestly, I was going to do what you advised me to do...just pass up the play and wait fo something better. Definite see where your coming from there and agree with everything you say.

For example...today at work on my lunch I didn't have time to do any research on my picks today so I just went boom boom boom....went 3-2 today in the NBA. Lost on PHI -4.5, U OKC/TOR, and got lucky on the O for SAC/MEM. With any amount of research I doubt I play the Philly game. Probably wouldas stuck with the other 2.

Question - I went 11-4 (discounting my hedge picks today)...do you think I have been betting to much??

Thanks milkshake i really appreciate that. Ive been betting on all sports for nearly 5 years now and personally, i feel as tho im really starting to get the hang of true money management and what it means to stay disciplined. i mean it seems kinda obvious but ive found that most cappers that consistently cap games successfully, tend to have a lighter amount of selections per given day or evening. I think anything in the realm of 2-4 tho seems pretty standard to me. I woulda definitely liked to throw in my 2sence on ur picks last night, you should drop by my page today tho so we can discuss a couple things for tonight. BOL to u my friend
