Cincy(-8) vs. DePaul on tuesday
Anyone else like the Bearcats in this one? DePaul is ready to pack the season in by now. They're a careless team and Cincy's tough D is going to force lots of turnovers. Cincy is playing for their tourney lives and they know they need to make a little run in the Big East tourney to get a spot in the 65. Meanwhile, DePaul's star player is talking about the NBA, which is sort of ridiculous. I like Cincy by double digits, havnt made a wager though, what do you guys think.

I capped that one, and havent found an edge in favor of either team....Depaul played at G.town lost buy 8 and didnt cover. Played at WVA lost by 19 and didnt cover, and lost at home to St John and didnt cover.
Cinn. played at G. town won by 2 and covered in OT. Played @ WVA won by 4 and covered, and won at home against St. Johns by 10 and covered.
On another note, both teams played villanova , l. ville, and pitt, and neither team won nor covered.
DEP are 10-25-2 ATS in their last 37 Tue. games.
CIN are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 Tue. games.
- Blue Demons are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
- Blue Demons are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog.
- Blue Demons are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss.
- Blue Demons are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Big East.
Cinncy has the edge in ppg, fg%, free throws, defense, rebounds and bench!
I cant really find a significant edge, for either team, hope this info is helpful, and BOL to you!

Cincy already has defeated depaul 59-55 earlier this season. I do not see cincy pyschologically motivated to play a bad depaul team. If I was to make a play on this game, I would take depaul +4.5 1st half.Comment -
Depaul has nothing to play for there not gonna win 5 games in a row to make it to the dance LOL. I think cincy sends a message 1st half and blows them out by 8+.Comment -
I really don't know where to go with this one. Both teams are terrible. UC packed it in last Sunday, so I don't know which the better play should be. I was thinking of buying points or just leaving it aloneComment -
best play is probably Cinci -4.5 1H, I think they come out strong and hot bc they know they have to proove something here today, I dont know if they keep it up in the 2H if they have a huge lead after the 1H, I could see something like a 1H blowout and a backdoor cover for depaul in the 2H

agree. i'd be careful with cincy 1H -4.5. i watched the entire first game between these two teams, and Cincy is definitely the better team, but DePaul made them play ugly. Cincy couldn't pull away no matter how badly DePaul played, and DePaul won't quit [they give good effort even though they're terrible]. in the 1H, teams naturally focus upon being even or ahead at halftime. giving points [with no promise of fouls, as in 2H] could be dangerous in this spot.Comment -
I dont know if we watched the same game, but Cinci won the first half by 11 points, agreed they played them toguh for the first 10 min and cinci had some problems but the last 10 min Depaul only made 10 points and Cinci made 24 points and pulled away....
Cinci did let em back into the game late in the 2nd half, but thats it ....Comment -
fair enough. Cincy clearly better team, and they covered for me in 1st meeting [-1]. you're correct about tale of 2 halves. Cincy looked like better team yet only managed a relatively ugly 4-point win. with Cincy's TO problems, FT shooting and mental mistakes [like when they fouled 3-point shooter up 5 with 2:15 left], i just don't trust them to cover any amount of points in either half in this spot. not saying play DePaul, just saying i don't think cincy minus points for 1H or game is a gimme. i guess where i see the final 10 min of 1H as the only time that Cincy played particularly well in that game, you view as Cincy's superiority finally showing through, and i can't say you're wrong. fair enough - maybe they learned from it and come out focused and outplay DePaul for 30 of the 40 minutes instead of 10.
