Having literally just spent the past hour or so going through the first pages of the original Kine Professor thread along with double checking today's plays... he does infact say the line has to open at a 6.5. He goes on to say "the only significant common trend of the system losses is with teams/ games that are bet into the 6.5+ range when opening below that number.." So I would just stick with the system.

According to the SBR odds tracker it opened at 6.5. Personally I played it, figuring it was a play (wish I hadn't - unless they go on a run these final 3 mins).

I use Scoresandodds.com. Not sure if that is correct or not. I also played Western Illinois, and am kicking myself for not catching it but was pressed for time as it tipped at 2...

Going back to the KineProfessor thread he states "for the sake of simplicity, the "opening number" is the first number you are able to bet the night before the game in question"

Scores and Odds had the line opening at 5:47 PM EST
That same evening the line then went up to 6.5

So it's kind of a gray area. Depending on your specific book, the first available line the night before, was either 6 or 6.5
I guess Heandog could shed some light on this when he comes back.

But I agree, the play should remain in question until he (or someone else who knows the right answer) says otherwise..

I used SBR odds, sports insights, and don best. SBR opened at + 7 and the other two at +6.5 for W. Illinois

System went 5-3 or 5-2 yesterday depending on the opener dilemma on W. Illinois. Some places show it opened at +6 (scoresandodds.com and 5D, others), while others (SBR tracker, Pinnacle) show it opening at +6.5.

The confusion concerning this game is detailed in this thread. It's your thread and you should make the call on whether it should count as a system play or not

For those figuring out the day's plays by themselves, it may have been played or not, since some of us were not clear on the rule.
