Can't believe Billikens lost to ruin my 5-teamer that would have hit easily otherwise! Syracuse 2 weeks ago and Saint Louis tonight.
Lesson learned: not much value in putting a team in with odds worse than -1000. Just wanted to make payout +100 or better.

Actually, I am mistaken. Had UCLA as my 5th team and they lost too...mainly due to suspensions to key players.

However, based on the stats, only 5 teams this year with a winning record playing an opponent with a losing record at home with odds of -1000 or better have lost (Syracuse, Army, Montana, NW, and St. Louis). Odds were in your favor even though St. Louis had no business being that large of favorite against a team that always plays them close.

Wisconsin lost to Northwestern in Kohl Center and I think were close to -3500 favorites.
That same night, Penn State won at Ohio State and were also big underdogs (way more than -1000) i remember because i lost both games.

Nebraska just won at Michigan State a few weeks ago and MSU was well over 1,000 favorites.

Sorry, slight correction....teams with winning records vs teams with losing records as a -1000 favorite at home. I forgot 2 off memory...Montana and NW....so a total of 5/102 and only 11/195 regardless of record at home line -1000 or higher.

BTW...NW was 10-11 and the line was -2500

Actually is doesn't happen that often..but we as humans just remember when it does.
