11-5 two day run +50 units lets see where we can take this
The last two nights have gone better than most can expect and im hopin todays card has more in store. After two real close losses last night we still managed to turn a bit of a profit.

Tonights card is no cakewalk and i just wanna state that i may only have a couple real solid plays tonight as i tend to tread lightly when so many usual "under the radar" games are now under such heavy spotlight due to lack of big games tonight...

That being said, the first of my picks should be up soon with a couple more to follow. BOL to all

    Play number 1

Arkansas State - 1.5 10 units to win 9 TOUGH LOSS
Lemme first start off by saying that there is a particular trend ive been feelin with all the conference play and i think this is a great spot for ASU bein as they are now the favorite at home to a team they lost to earlier this season. AR Little Rock is certainly a formadable opponent but tend to struggle on the road in recent past and have a couple bad losses to poor squads this season. To add to the fact, they escaped with a tough tough win at home earlier this season against this ASU team and now must go play a hungry for a win ASU squad on the road. After having a couple turbulent weeks with some of the worst ice storms Arkansas has seen, Arkansas state looks to get back on track and snap their current 3 game skid. Having not played in almost a week, ASU should be well rested and well prepared. With their season essentially on the line, you can bet Coach John Brady will have this team ready to play against their top conference rival. Consider Ark State layin a small amount

Absolutely. You can get +105 with the ML vs. -110 giving 1 point. From a standpoint of $$, it's a better value.

          Play number 2

Northwestern +2 10 units to win 8 (buy 1/2 pt) WIN

I dont really tend to love one pick more than the other, but this game just feels great to me. I love this spot for NW at home against a shaky Illinois team imo. Illinois is solid ball club dont get me wrong. But they usually show their true colors away from the orange infested colliseium they got up in champagne. They travel tonight to a toughh toughh building to play in that of the purple crazies in NW. NW plays excellent ball at home and only 2 of their 8 losses this season have come at Welsh Ryan Arena. Currently sitting 9th in one of the toughest conferences in the nation, look for NW to try and salvage whats left of their season as they come to play hard tonight at home. Consider NW at home getting any points imo

            Play number 3

The Citadel -3 12 units to win 11WIN

I guess you could say i really like this play cause i stuck a couple more units on it but i feel as tho this is a great spot for the citadel at home against a shaky road team in App St. The citadel currently ride a 4 game home win streak and have gone undefeated in conference play over their last seven games. After two nice wins on the road, in particular at App st...the bulldogs look to come out even stronger at home and show them they really belong with the cream of the conference. With almost a weeks rest and full focus i think citadel really turns up the heat tonight on the rest of the conference. Consider the Citadel layin the decent wood at home tonight.

im tempted to play a lot of the teams that should cover big tonight like the rest of you, but once again i advise treading lightly when the schedules are light. GL to all of you either way...perhaps one more play to come

                play number 4

Eastern Kentucky -17 12 units to win 9 (call me weird but still buyin pt and a 1/2)WIN

I love eastern kentucky at this number. If SEMO st is playin as badly as their 0-13 league play record shows, then i dont think a greatly underrated EK team should have much trouble routing them at home. EK is currently holdin well their own having won 3/4 games and have only surrendered one loss at home all season. I cant see that number getting any higher tonight against a SEMO squad that just hasnt performed well at all this season. Look for EK to get it really goin tonight to show the damage they can really cause in league play. Ik the line seems high, but if vegas didnt think they were one of the strongest home favorites of the night, the line would be different. Consider EK and layin them points

                    Play number 5

Louisiana Tech -3 10 units to win 9 WIN

Im pretty sure this will be the final selection for the night. As i suggested before, i was goin to tread lightly as should most of you, however this looks like a good spot for LT and the cover as well. Fresno St has had a rough go of it this season currently sitting at 2-7 in conference play with only one road win to their credit this season. Its almost as if dissappointment has overwhelmed this team and really caused a lot of internal issues. Fresno St gets outrebounded almost every game they play and will have to change that if they hope to have any chance against a decent LT squad. LT looks to hold serve at home tonight against perhaps the only inferior team in the league and avoid the embarrasment that would come along with a loss. Look for LT to come out strong on the boards and really control the tempo of this game. Consider LT layin the wood at home

Portland Trailblazers +4 24 units to win 18 (buy 1 full pt)DUMB LOSS

Im sorry people i just couldnt help myself. Lemme first just start out by saying how much i love this play. As to the contrary of many's beliefs, i feel that this is a great spot for portland to show how good of a team they really are. They come into this matchup with almost everything against em. Portland has failed to snag a win at GS in their last seven attempts. They also lost to them earlier this season without guard monte ellis on the GS lineup. However, The warriors are currently allowing over 111 points per game which is up there in the top 5 worst in the NBA not to mention they get our-rebounded by a full 5 rebounds per game. Among the leagues worst as well. Portland is allowing 16 points less and has a Rebound Margin of +5 per game. Portland is riding a two game win streak and is really lookin to extend that goin into the break. This really is a great spot for Portland as they look to send a message to the rest of the western conference that theyre hungry for more than just bein contenders. They wanna really establish a dominant presence in the west. I would strongly consider Portland getting the points in this one.

I don't like Portland as a large play IMO....GS opened last night at +1...went to -1.5 in 6 minutes at the initial posting time and has increased...Portland is coming in not having won here since Nov of 2004 and are playing a back to back...Golden St is on a roll offensively and now Portland is looking to possibly trade Aldridge and Bayless for Amare....will they be focused being this is the last game before the all-star break?? and GS has been playing good...not trying to talk you out of the play but just sharing info...I ended up getting GS at -2 buying a pt to -1...GL tonight

I pulled the following from a story posted online...

TRAIL BLAZERS UPDATE: The Blazers have won seven of nine to pull to within three games of Northwest Division leading Denver. At stake is a No. 3 seed and home court advantage in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. ... The Blazers are expected to be players on the market as the Feb. 19 trade deadline approaches. Portland is reportedly making a play for Phoenix Suns All-Star power forward Amare Stoudemire. According to The Sporting News, Portland offered forward LaMarcus Aldridge and rookie guard Jerryd Bayless. The Blazers have other valuable pieces. Big man Raef LaFrentz has a $12.7 million expiring contract, and backup center Joel Przybilla is expendable because of second-year center Greg Oden.

thanks for insight pete. great info and its much appreciated. i just feel with all the hype around golden state, they will succomb to a much more talented portland squad. I also agree that right before the AS break makes any game a bit shaky but u can bet Brandon Roy is hungry for a win in this building and will have his squad ready and playin tough ball tonight. Stats are just stats ik,, but it does say somethin about the GS ball club as a whole. BOL
