A question to the Mafia-

The Magic have been unstoppable for most of the season and have put plenty of $$$ in many of our pockets. It is my opinion that the loss of Jameer Nelson is going to be a HUGE loss for them. He's averaging nearly 17 ppg with 5.4 apg. Considering JJ Reddick may be the guy that steps in and takes his place, Nelson's effective 3pt shooting may not be lost.

But the Magic have been a no-brainer up til now. Now I have to think twice. Certainly not against the Clippers tonight, but as the season goes on.

Can someone please convince me that this wont be a problem and that the Magicians will continue to be a covering machine.

orlando is 4-1 SU in games this year without jameer nelson and the turk will handle the point at times, giving greater vision over the perimeter D for inlet passes into the post.

I think it will affect them alot in the long run. I am playing them tonight as it is the Clippers and until the Clips turn it around I will fade them everytime especially against this Magic team even without Nelson. I suggest keeping a watching brief for a couple of games when they play stronger opposition and reassess before going heavy.

i agree wholeheartedly, i am going to watch for movement on this line. i think both teams get up and down, and with bynum out the lakers average possession per game numbers will increase giving a temporary value to overs especially against a flaky toronto team on a b2b.

The Cavs strike me as a team who enjoy blowing people off the court and feed off it, look at the avg PPG they beat oppo by . They are making the most of the success they are having and maybe unlike the Celtics, who due to last seasons success, ease off the pedal a little in some games which leads to back door covers. What better motivation is there for Lebron tonight to run the show in what could be his future home. The cavs blew toronto away in the first quarter, eased off, then just blew them back off the court again in the fourth. I think they are trying to make a statement in every game they play, LBJ certainly is.

I've been analyzing this game....and I come to the over...

draw a line thru Houstons last 2 games...one against UTEP where their #1 scorer was suspended and Memphis(who plays really good D...held Tenn to 50's) and they average 84 their last 5 games against repectable competition..ie Ariz.90,UTEP 1st time 94...

UCF averaging over 77 pts in their last 5 and more than that @ home..Jermaine Taylor scoring 24/game.....over piece..

Yeah......I remember being curious about it because I always thought money could be made on dominant teams that come out the gate runnin-n-gunnin in the 1st Q and then play a game of cat-n-mouse for the rest of the game. I will look at yesterday's thread and see if I can find it.
