West Virginia at Ohio State, Saturday, 4 p.m., CBS: The undefeated Buckeyes open Big Ten play on New Year's Eve, and the Mountaineers will provide a good test. Ohio State's defense has been tremendous; they've been solid on the perimeter and sophomore forward Dallas Lauderdale has been a shot-blocking machine. WVU has been pounding foes on the boards, but the Mountaineers have been inconsistent offensively and have been bad from 3-point range (32.2 percent) and awful from the line (60.8 percent).

I don't know HOW this game is so close.. OSU has the longest win streak, ranked 13th, beat Miami away AND Notre Dame. WV lost to Kentucky, barely lost against Davidson, and beat Duquesne/Miss away by a combined 7 points (who are nowhere near as tough).

I just don't get it. I'm on Ohio State big.

Like I said, Ohio State overrated as they come. The only reason they beat Miami was McClinton was ejected from the game in the first half when Miami was routing OSU.

best teams in the ncaa.

Right now they are down at the half, and only because they haven't shot the ball well.

All they need to do is get Turner and Diebs involved on the other end, and they should be able to win this game by 5 points.

WV can't keep up with Ohio State, the only reason why they are ahead is because there tossing up shots and there falling, and Ohio State hasn't gotten in a groove yet.

They haven't even brought their C, or 4 spot cleared yet. Once Ohio State utilizes Thads coaching plan for the 2nd half, this game will be Ohio States to lose.

Ohio State is a much better team than WV. Ohio State lost this game cause they didn't run their sets, and the shooting guard was out of posistion the entire game. This blew them off, and that's one of the reason why they shot poorly.

West Virginia won by that much cause Ohio State tanked it.

I'm going to have tons of fun fading West Virginia when Big East starts, cause you suckers are going to think there the best team out there.

WV will also get ranked and it's even adding to the joke.

I'll take WV for $5,000 alex. Big East season is going to be a great one.

maybe WVU's defense deserves some credit for OSU not being able to run their sets and the OSU point guard being out of position.
