LDB not so fast

Ok DLB, not so fast here.

I must humbly disagree with you. There are a couple of things you may have forgotten.

1. The 15th-ranked Wildcats are off to their best start since going 10-0 in 2005-06, They have won each game by at least 13 points and have played all their games either on their home court or nearby at The Palestra.

2. Last year was a 76-69 win over Texas on Jan. 20, 2007.

3. Texas (6-1) will have played all over the damn country thus far. i.e. Maui Invitational last month in Hawaii -- losing to then-No. 8 Notre Dame 81-80 in the semifinals -- and are coming off a rugged 68-64 win over then-No. 12 UCLA on Thursday.

4. 6-foot-8 Dante Cunningham, who is averaging team highs of 17.3 points and 8.0 rebounds for Villanova is a monster.

So I do not see this as a lock at all, on the contrary I see Villanova plus points to win out right against a tired Texas squad.

5. Also one of the stats that stick out the most, and this stat has nothing to do with strength of schedule.

That is free throw % Texas 60.6% at the line NOVA 78%

There lies the the difference in this pick. NOVa WINS OUT right
