I'm not playing this and I've lost 4 straight, so Wichita State might be a shoe-in .... but I have a feeling TCU (my alma mater) covers tonight. Wichita State has been solid on the road against some "name" teams. But tonight, there is no name to get up for. I realize Texas Tech isn't exactly a team to get up for, but they aren't a great team this year anyway. TCU has been oppressive at home defensively under new coach Christian. The Shockers have given up some points defensively on the road and while TCU doesn't have a ton of scoring, I just got a little spidey sense tingling & telling me the Horned Frogs win by 5 or so.

i feel like playing those big names from the big 12 and big east give them an edge. playing against better competition they have held their own, on the road as you said, with both of those teams. covering both times. think maybe that tingling is your alma mater playing in your heart?

No, because honestly the basketball team has been horrible for damn near 10 years, so I'm not really invested in them. I'm actually a bigger fan of Syracuse hoops - a school I was going to go to, but decided to stay closer to home. This is purely a gut feeling. I just know both teams weren't expected to do much this year and again Wichita State has been impressive against Georgetown & Michigan State ... but this TCU team seems to have some tenacity to it, heart that teams under their last coach were missing. Wouldn't be a huge play if I were playing it, but just one of those WTF plays. Hell maybe that's the kind I need to break my losing streak.

it is one of those situations where they are just flat out a better team than the oddsmakers know right now...the trick is to find about 5 of these teams and ride them until around christmas when vegas finds out they are for real. the shockers are one of those teams.

Tonight was so my last two days of wagering. Lost my only play this afternoon and decided to keep myself in check tonight despite loving Hawaii +22 and this one. Glad I strayed and won some NBA tonight to even up, but damn it I hate passing up on winners.
