Yes, you can. I had to do that the other day because I forgot to add Atlanta (NFL) to the spreadsheet. I'm not going to make a habit of it because people will accuse me of picking the teams after the game is over. you know how people on this forum are. I'm considering adding injuries and emotion to the prediction model for NCAAB. I may also add coaching changes and personnel changes. For example in the NBA the 3 loser teams OK City, Washington, and Clippers all had coaching changes that may make their stats so far this year meaningless.
A friend of mine wants me to add play style matchups. For example some teams don't defend against teams that like to drive very well, other teams don't defend the 3 point shot very well. So, in doing the final score prediction you should match up the two teams' play style. Since my NCAAB prediction model is hitting at a +60% clip, i'm not sure if all that extra work is worth it.
