Just trying to pass along useful info when I see it. As many of you who have been here for awhile have seen, when alot of SBR folks are on one side in a game - the game gets jinxed a good deal of the time.
Tonight's Jinx: Kent State
Seen alot of guys on this here in the hoops forum. Some "too good to be true" thoughts, etc. Popular theory being Kent beat them by 41 last year. Two things to think about.
1. Different teams. Kent does have 3 starters back, but they are missing beef up front now. St.Louis' strength is their backcourt, which is their two returnees. So they might match-up better with this Kent State team than last year's.
2. St.Louis' home court advantage. New facility this year, but they are an entirely different team at home. 8-1 non-conference in '07-'08. 7-2 non-conference in '06-'07. Last year's slaughter was @Kent State.
Also this is year 2 under Rick Majerus. Year two in a system makes a difference with some experienced players I think. Looking more at this, St.Louis ML looks like a smart anti-jinx play?
We'll see.
