Buffalo vs Canisius

I posted this in a different thread but thought I would repost...

Anyone look at UB tonight vs Canisius? Canisius won all of like 4 or 5 games this year and has not brought anyone else in. UB returned all starters and beat Canisius by 9 last year... I got it at -2 might be something to look at...

Any opinions?

i don't know much about BUFF this year, but CAN was basically a doormat for every decent program last year.

Exactly... Andy Robinson is out for Buff though and he was their best player last year. The idiot posted an ad on facebook last year offering to pay someone to write his fukking paper for him! Some chick in his class ratted him out!!

I still think UB can win this without him, they returned basically everyone from last year and Canisius has not made any improvements from last year that I can see on the roster...

I know both teams pretty well, and I would lean towards Buffalo. I knew a-rob and was facebook friends with him and saw the ad before he took it down. lol. He's actually a good kid, just let it get to his head that he could get away with that shit. Reggie doesn't let his kids take the easy classes, so they've got it tough compared to most b-bball players at other schools.

The one thing about these games that always adds value IMO is that a home game for Canisius vs. UB is truly a home game for UB. UB is 5 times the size of Canisius and a train ride away. Trust me I've been there for it.
Half the gym will be obnoxious drunk UB students, the other half is quiet old season ticket holders for Canisius. Listen to on the radio and try to guess who the home team is without already knowing it. I'd take it now before it goes up a bit.

Its less than a 20 minute drive and most of the fans are on South Campus anyways which is close to Canisius. There is no home court advantage for this game, UB has played on it plenty of times. I think UB -2 is a gift.... Just like UB +3.5 friday, I know I am a homer but I also have bet against UB just as many times as I have bet for them. I just know the teams fairly well and like to pick my spots

UB is -4 now? I would take it to -5... after that I would start to lay off... If they had AROB I would take it up to the 9 they won by last year but they dont unfortunately... I may be wrong but I do not see Canisius winning this game at all.

I graduated from there 2 years ago and getting my Master's now. What I meant to say is that South Campus is right down the street where roughly 10k students live so it isnt too far for students to get there.

ahh good shit. i graduated 06, then went to get masters and am done now and not in buffalo anymore.
got some amazing memories from that bball team, i try to forget about the ohio one. i actually was really bummed about blowing that pittsburgh game too.

how about the football team now? I remember they had all of 2 wins the first 3 years i was there and I think we rushed the field when we finally beat someone. All fifteen of us.

The football team looks good, its just the special teams and defense that cant put it together every week. Ironically, Hofher is the QB coach for Bowling Green so Friday night should be very interesting. He recruited Willy and Starks and knows EVERYTHING there is to know about this team. I really hope we can get over this fukking MOUNTAIN and bring some good to Buffalo... Lastnights wide right part 2 did not help!!
