Also looking at your Canisius play.... What do you see out of them that you think they cover vs UB? I am ALL over UB in this game and will be at it. They always play each other tough but Canisius was a door mat last year and has not added anyone to drastically change that. On the flip side UB has retained most of last years roster...

Big hoops fan, just new to this. You seem to have a handle on things? if you don't mind asking about your thoughts on the Spiders +16? Thanks

MrMonkey, RICH plays hard. I have no idea what to expect from SYR because I don't have their exhibition games handy right now and tonight will be their first game of the season.
I would stay away from it just because we haven't seen if SYR has this year. If i was going to pick, I'd say RICH (+16) but it would be a half-educated guess.

Hey TPowell. I'm interested in knowing your thinking on USD/Nevada.
These are two teams that I keep my eye on. USD will probably have two starters out (Johnson - suspension, Jackson - injury (he's doubtful tonight)) (they have Pomare back); Nevada will have one starter out (Fields -suspension). Nevada certainly has issues underneath, now that Javale McGee is playing for the Washington Wizards, but they have a Freshman (Babbitt) and a transfer (Shaw) who may fill those holes better than some have expected. Nevada beat USD pretty handily last year in Reno (but that was before USD went on their late season tear). Both teams have exceptionally good coaching.
I know that USD really needs a win. They don't want to go to 0-2, after losing at UNLV, before heading out on a road trip (Valpo, CS Bakersfield, SD State).
All said, though, I was leaning Nevada with the points. I was thinking they might keep it close, or even win it. But I might be out on a limb on this one, and I always appreciate your thoughts.

I think the Tenn-Martin +25 pick is solid.
Hudson is a beast. Here is some interesting trivia:
- Hudson scored 35 points against Memphis, and 36 against Vanderbilt, last season.
- Hudson recorded the first quadruple-double in NCAA history, last season, with 25 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals in a 116-74 win over Division II Central Baptist College.

Thanks your insight. UR scored 81 on Sat. (even against Rand.-Macon that's impressive for them) just don't know either what SU team will show up. UR will play 9 deep so use all the fouls and hope SU shoots their normally bad FT%. Might do something small just because on ESPN at 6PM.

Why is everyone jumping on SDSU playing a ranked team in ASU?
ASU returns 94.6 percent of its scoring from a year ago. Pendergraph and Harden amongst the best in the PAC-10.

yeah, that line has me scratching my head for sure. How can #15 Az State only be -3 vs an average San Diego St team at a neutral site?

Ive seen fishy lines before sort of like the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle seahawks line this weekend was the same as this. This looks like ASU wins by 10+. I still take ASU fishiness or not.

Seattle is horrible and Arizona is good this year. They have the number 1 offense this year statistically so far. Everyone thought that was fishy. Line was too low arizona covers.

Still thinking I can get a backdoor cover with Tenn having their subs in and Tenn martin keeping their starters in.

Agreed. But right now he has a 33% FG% and is 2 for 9 from beyond the arc. Not to mention 3 PF. That, in no way, suggests to me that UT-Martin is gonna cover this game. He needs to step this up, still got a chance.

things looking up now. Gonzaga and UNC are winners for my 1H bets and I've got Stanford (-6.5) and Cal (-7) for the first half.
