I think cal st fullerton opened -1. They're currently at +2.5.
There's not really much to go by here in terms of recent history and both teams are 0-1, having lost their respective openers.

Does anybody have any idea what caused the 3.5 point swing?

    Thanks!

Homecourt advantage is all I could come up with - well that and Fullerton lost to a team alot of people expect to be among the worst in their conference in Texas State. Hawaii lost to S.F. - a midpack West Coast team by most estimations. Both teams aren't expected to be great. Fullerton does have a guard who could carry the team on his back though in Akognon. I'd take a shot at the CSF ML probably in a toss-up game. If Fullerton finds their stroke outside, they can win I think.

With the home court already in the spread, I thought of comparison of the quality of the teams they'd both lost to and you're right it would explain a general Hawaii lean, but I'm not sure if it's enough to rationalize such a swing.

Yeah and it's hard to gauge a team after one game. Fullerton was just horrid in the 1st half of their game. They played much better in the 2nd half and if that's the team that comes out tonight, I think they will win straight up. Hawaii has alot of new pieces whereas Fullerton does have a bit more chemistry from returnees. A coin flip of a game, that's why I would always take the better price. GL with your selection.

CS Fullerton is getting some love because they had a decent team last season -- they won 24 games and played in the NCAA tournament (for the first time in 30 years). But that team has been decimated. They have had to replace 9 players, 4 of them starters. They have some size, but they are unproven, and don't know each other really well. That loss to Texas State was ugly. Hawaii has the same problem -- lost 79% of their scoring. They probably aren't going to have much this year. Middle of the pack in the WAC. So, basically, its two mediocre teams tonight. I'll take a mediocre Hawaii at home over a mediocre CS Fullerton. That's how I see it. I have a small play on Hawaii at -2.5.

              Nice call Eagles.

That was about my dumbest bet of the weekend. Hawaii is not good.
