Sundin 1st Ballot HOF and not Shanahan?

This is absurd. I'd probably put Lindros, Carbonneau and Claude Lemieux in the HOF before Sundin. I guess they don't consider success in the playoffs anymore. The Glenn Anderson reversal.

Granted, Sundin was playing at a higher level in his twilight than Shanny and he was better on the international ice surface, but you can't tell me you'd have picked Sundin ahead of Shanahan in their primes. Shanny's numbers were slightly better but that rarely tells the story. The major difference here was heart. Ridiculous.

Full marks for Sakic, Oates and Bure though.

I don't think Lindros should be getting in. Feels like he never reached his full potential and his career could've been alot greater. As far as Shanahan he definitely deserves to be a first ballot, should've gotten in ahead of Sundin. Sundin could've waited another year

Not sure why Bure made it

Guy was a cancer on most teams, was weak physically and never won a cup

Sure he was a good scorer, one of the fastest players in NHL history but that isnt enough to make the HOF

You have to be an all round player/person. Bure wasnt.
