Luongo indeed wants out of Vancouver
AV Confirms Luongo Wants to Go

According to reports from the Vancouver Sun and French Station TVA, Canucks Head Coach Alain Vigneault has confirmed that Luongo indeed wants out of Vancouver.

Vigneault was asked on French Station TVA if he agreed that Luongo needed a fresh start. “First of all, that is what he wants right now,” Vigneault said in the translated quote. “What we need to do is what's best for our organization and our team. We have to look at what's best for our organization and Roberto.”
Luongo was supplanted in goal during the playoffs by Cory Schneider and has indicated in the past that he would waive his no-trade clause to move from Vancouver and that he also does not want to be a backup.
Canucks GM Mike Gillis has contended over the past two weeks or so that talks are ongoing with Luongo but that is all he will comment on.

Weeeeeee! Sounds like Tampa might not go for him and Brodeur might play another year after this year's playoff run, which leaves the "Leaves" Hawks maybe? That would be fcuked if he went there

he's a great goalie. Great. Canucks have 2 of them and one is younger. Otherwise we would gladly keep Lu for the next several years.

Leaves get him and they make the playoffs for sure. Hawks will be a serious cup contender again.

Pretty good reg season goalie, extremely inconsistent playoff goalie, not what you want if you need to win the cup

Fact: he won Gold in 2010

Fact: he had 2 shut outs in the finals last year.

Fact: The greatest goalie in the world can't win the Cup by himself.

Fact: Only one goalie will win the Cup every year. One!

He might be apprehensive about going to another city to live under a magnifying glass.
