Every forum, just about every square is on the Rangers.

12-2 winning series when having the 3-2 series lead....

Never lost game 7 @ MSG....

    Caps 3-8 in game sevens.....

The Rangers are a coin flip in this game at best.

    Caps have more discipline
Caps have the better power play
    The capitals have more speed

I can get +135 right now, however I am going to hold out for at least + 140.

I think as time approaches I will get that price.

Then I will make my largest postseason wager this year

the 12-2 stat about 3-2 lead irrelevent here because you are including the probability that they win game 6 in game 7. that is bad math. all that should be relevent is probability they win game 7. Try looking at game 7 stats after 3-2 lead. Game 6 stats are irrevant now. game 6 is over. you cant add the probability they win game 6 to game 7. the 12-2 stat would have been relevent if you were betting the series before game 6, because then the probability they win game 6 is relevent.

caps might win. they might lose. who knows. you better hope Ward doesnt take another penalty.

because I would be betting a coin flip @ +140.

At even odds, I wouldn't make the bet.

If you had somebody that would allow you to flip a coin 100 times....

every time it comes up heads, you give them a dollar....
If it comes up tails, they give you a dollar FORTY, I am guessing you would jump on that opportunity.

Rangers may very well win, but thet are not worth laying 150, 160 etc.

the nhl would certainly rather see the Capitals and Ovechkin advance.

Look at the penalties the Caps are getting called for.

Pretty much only the automatic ones...
high sticks drawing blood, delay of games....

how many neutral ice trips, hooks, slashes have you seen that have not been called on washington?

If the Rangers do advance, I will be betting NY most of the games against new jersey, so it isn't that I just bet against the Rangers

I think the Caps take this one. They've probably gotten into NYR's minds and Henrik L looked brutal last game. Cheers

I love the Rangers and have ever since I was a kid growing up in NJ in my previous life, and I hope they win tonite and move on to the NHL East finals vs NJD. But I have to agree with you that laying odds of -140> with Rangers doesn’t make sense, with this game very tough to call and essentially a coin flip. And the Capitals should feel very confident, having won two of their 4 games TY in NY (and also should have won Game 5 there).

As to playing the side, note that there are two other ways to play the Caps in this game, either in addition to playing them on the ML or in lieu of same. For those whose "books" offer alternative lines for the game, I prefer one of the following two “specialty” plays. Since I expect a very close game, and very possibly the third OT game in this series, I believe the best value is to play the “draw” line, where we are betting that the game goes to OT, and are getting huge +270 odds -- and all that needs to happen for that play to be a winner is for the game to go to OT (it does not matter which team eventually wins in OT). And for those whose books do not offer a draw line but do offer a “regulation puck line,” where we would get +1/2 goal with the Caps and would win that bet if either they win in regulation time or the game goes to OT (and like with the above described draw play, the regulation puck line play being a winner if the game goes to OT, and it being irrelevant which team eventually wins in OT), that is also a good way to play the Caps, although you’ll have to lay some odds (-135 or -140) to get that half a puck.

Rangers Never lost at MSG game 7. if Im not mistaken havent they only played 4 game 7 at, no big deal but the statement never lost a game 7 at MSG is a little inflated

i know it sounds to simple, but sometimes the home fav is the play. squares are people who think colin cowherd's opinion matters.

Sorry for your loss but I kinda disagree with this quote.
Think the nhl would prefer LA vs NY.
