Quick is the best goalie I've ever seen

guy never makes a mistake.. any goal is either a tip in/ deflection or he is screened.

just looking at the way he stays low and moves post to post, its unbelievable, hands down the best in the game (smith is right up there)

big ups to LA defense, never an easy shot on quick, but is there really any doubt Quick is the best?

I think whoevers been the goalie coach these past few just cant teach it like they used to. When I grew up learning hockey as a defenseman I actually had time to learn how to be a goalie without ever putting pads on in my life. It helped me learn how my goalie might react so that I may be able to reac tto certain situations and aid him. Its a big coordination thing. I think Qucik is excellent and even today he showed he could of easily been beaten even with a huge win. If you saw him swipe his glove arm to bat at a loose puck it took me like 4 angles to finally see that it was no goal, that was the biggest goal oppurtunity of the game for Stl sigh poor them. So in all honesty if you have good reflexes, and your tall and wide as hell but agile .. Being a goalie isnt that difficult at all, I think ayone can become the best with a bit of practice, it`s been proven that experience wont make you the best goalie out there, it just gives you an edge.

It's much more than just being a big body. Quick is great on the puck, and rebounds are almost non existent. Guy could give up 2 early goals and still hold the fort. Like, when was the last time we saw the LA backup?

hes top 3 right now, but its pathetic that not all goalies can pull this off but get paid well over even 1 million dollars others should sadly be able to do this if they are professional

That is a pretty big and bold statement....haven't watched him..so your saying he is better then Lumquist on the Rangers and Thomas on the Bruins ????

lol at thomas being considered a top 3 goalie in the league. quick is very good but we will have to see how he does after his big year. playing in goal for one of the most defensive teams in the league is also quite nice

Quick is a good goalie but he benefits from playing for the #1 trap team in the league so his stats are all inflated to a degree.

Even on nights when he gets 30+ shots the majority of the time only 5-8 are actually tough saves, thanks to LA blocking everything and keeping shots to the outside.

He's still been clutch though so far and is definitely a top 5 goalie who is on his way to winning a cup.
