Shit, I haven't looked at odds to win but I thought the Pens would have been more likely 40/1 to win the Series vs the Flyers.

Meanwhile, one has to wonder why he was even on the ice, considering all the shots in the media Laviolette took at Bylsma for a similar event on April 1.

Guys like Rinaldo should not even be in the league.

It was the second period, he is suppose to load up on ice time with guys like Giroux, Jagr, Briere, and Schenn when they play 15+ ice minutes a game. Remember when the Pens did it there was a minute left in the game, it wasn't in the second period.

They were killing penalties for most of the second period. I think the Flyers were short handed 7 times in the second.

truth is Philly might've been better off with the suspension because Rinaldo is a moron (someone must've told him as much because he deleted the tweets that the Philly media reported) and it would've allowed them to play JVR.

I agree but if JVR is 100% I think he would be playing right now, especially with what he did last year in the playoffs.

that's one of the dumber blogs/articles I've ever read. even for a homer with blinders on that's tremendously dumb stuff.

and I'll even ding Laviolette for his comments re: Vitale and that hit, those guys hadn't played for the last 12 minutes of that game because...Pittsburgh was only down a couple and they were trying to...win the game!

I totally agree, Rinaldo or Wellwood would be scratched. It'd be great to get him back, and have him play like he did last year in the postseason but thats a stretch. He didn't do much for us this year (guessing 40-45 GP) when he wasn't injured, so maybe hell light it up again if he makes it back.
