Will Raffi Torres receive a suspension?

Obviously for his hit on Marian Hossa. He left his feet prior to the hit but he definitely led with his shoulder and his elbow did not appear to come up. The shoulder most likely connected with the jaw. Torres didn't receive a penalty for the hit but the fact that Hossa left via stretcher and probably a concussion will have Shanahan review it.

I don't think he should receive a supension but the refs should have definitely given a penalty for leaving the feet. Some will also say it was a late hit.

Edit: found a video on twitter and the hit looked late but and he did leave his feet. He has got to be suspended for that.

Dave Hodge says it should be a suspension and a lengthy one.

Repeat offender, late and he jumped, doesn't look good for Torres. Definitely suspension worthy, how long tho? who knows with Shanny at the helm.

Torres is a repeat defender and the inury to Hossa will compound it. I think Shanahan will suspend him for the rest of the post season or something like 15 games.

Absolutely, the guy is a notorious headhunter and he almost killed Brent Seabrook in last year's playoffs. Can't believe the refs didn't even give him a minor penalty. The deplorable officiating has allowed Phoenix to steal 2 games they didn't deserve to win so far!

What Keith did was worse but he was not a repeat offender. Torres has been suspended 4 times already hence he will get way more than 1-2 games.

ya probably. Stil trying to figure the NHL suspension logic. I can't say that I have ever agreed with any ruling except the Marty McSorely one years ago
