OK Canuck fans. Game 5 Sunday night! I don't think I have recovered from last years game 7 loss in the finals and then you give me games 1, 2 and 3???
We could have won game 3 but that's behind us. Game 4 showed Canuck fans and the NHL what we already know ... and that is when the Canucks are healthy they can beat anyone anytime. Was game 4 the turning point? The great goal tending along with the excellent PP and PK? The puck movement? I think so.
No such thing as a sure thing but I have this gut feeling that Vancouver is gonna win this one, game 6 in LA and we will see game 7 back in Vancouver.
Prediction: 4-1 Vancouver

we played with heart and without our best player for the first 3 games. Nothing to be ashamed of. Heartbroken yes, disappointed yes but loved the effort! Sorry about your loss man. Its always frustrating when your team gets knoocked out with high expectations. As longtime Blackhawks fan I can't say I'm saddened Canucks are gone but I know how you feel on your team's losing after having the best record this year. I don't see my Hawks winning the last 2 but you never know. Schneider is a great goaltender. However, I attribute the .960 save % to a small sample size (3 games). Yes all the other goalies also have 5 or less. but thats my point. playing 3 good games is a lot different than playing 20 good games. I think if vancouver made cup run and schneider played 20 games or so, his .960 save % would drop to below .940. LAK isn't known for their offense either, so that pads cory's stats a little too. yes kings offense got better after carter trade. but their offense was just terrible for most of the year, and isnt potent
Yes, Schneider is great. But there's no way in hell any goalie would sustain a .960 over the course of an entire playoff cup run, or over a sample size of more than 40 playoff games. so of course no one is going to pass Schneider. Although i will say halak and elliott have been great. its easy to have a .960 save % when you only play 3 games.
yes other goalies have small sample size too. and yes schneider is good. but a .960 save % does not reflect the mean value of any goalie's true save %. No goalie I can remember has sustained an average of a .960 save% over a sufficient period of time . So, yes, schneider only has a .960 save % because the sample size is too small at 3 games.
But he is one of the better goaltenders in the nhl. I enjoyed watching LA vs. VAN because of the Quick v. Schneider matchup. UMass v. Boston College! Great hockey east rivalry!Comment -
