The Traverse City Prospects Tournament offers a unique opportunity for a slew of youngsters to leave indelible impressions on various NHL team executives before training camp even begins. For some, such as the free agents invited on a tryout basis, this tournament presents a chance of a lifetime. For others, it's a chance to prove to the organization that drafted them that they are following the right path for their development. Then, there are the select few that will be closely scrutinized throughout the tournament. They are the first-round picks, the cream of the crop, the best of the best. At this year's tournament, 15 first-round picks will be in action. NHL.com will be following them throughout the tournament, but here's a primer so you know exactly who we're talking about over the next week:

Comcast was supposed to add the NHL network here in August, but it has been pushed back to October. Can't wait for it. How many games are on it per week?

5Dimes does, they have the best puck wagering options hands down.

Also they have reduced juice lines about mid day.

Last season was my first for the NHL network and if I remember correctly you got about 2 or 3 a week. If NHL network had the game they'd black it out on the Center Ice package. NHL network is worth every penny. They have a show every night called On the Fly which recaps indepth every game played that night. Highlights of every score, hard check, good save, etc.

Terrific analysis..... classic games from the past in their entirety, (the oldest game I saw was from 1961 between the Blackhawks and Maple Leafs).

All summer long they've been showing every game from last year's playoffs. I DVR them and watch at my leisure.
