Why have the favorites gotten so pricey? The odds weren't this crazy all season, why the sudden jump now?

Van -300? NYr -230? A tb team playing like crap at -175? I think these teams will win but wow they are way overpriced, really good value on the dogs...

I think it's primarliy due to the fact that the prohibitive favorites (> -170) seem to be winning the vast majority of the time - more so they they typically have in year's past.

For example I track Fantasy Sports Gametime's Hockey plays and they are the biggest squares you have ever seen - they literally release the Canucks, Bruins, Red Wings and/or Black Hawks every day regardless of price (Ex. on Saturday they released the Blues -230 and the Red Wings -350, as if anyone would need a "professional" to tell you that those two mismatches would get the cash).

But they're 54-27 over their last 81 selections, which is 66%. Now granted they aren't up that many units but when you can hit 2 out of every 3 over the course of 81 games by blindly banging public plays, it proves that the heavy chalk is coming in at an abnormally high rate.

    Vegas had to adjust.

Yeah seems like the good teams are running over the bad teams. Parity as we saw it before has evaporated.

This always happen in the latter part of the season.

Books figure out which teams are much better and put down high juice games.
