    Canucks/Hawks Rivalry Heats Up
BLACKHAWKS' BOLLAND RIPS SEDIN 'SISTERS' ON RADIO TALK SHOW
    TSN.ca Staff
    12/14/2011 4:05:53 PM

Chicago Blackhawks forward Dave*Bolland had some choice words for Daniel and Henrik*Sedin and the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday morning, adding fuel to the already-heated rivalry between the two clubs.

Making an appearance on WGN Radio in Chicago, Bolland occasionally referred to the Sedins as "sisters."

When asked if they would still be sisters if they became members of the Blackhawks, Bolland's answer was blunt.

"Well, they'll never become Hawks," he said. "I don't think we'd let them on our team. We'd be sure not to let them on our team. And, yeah, they probably still would be sisters. I think they might sleep in bunk beds. The older one has the bottom one, the younger one got the top."

While the morning show was very much tongue-in-cheek, Bolland, along with teammate Corey*Crawford, didn't shy away from the opportunity to rip the Canucks.

"I hate all of them," Bolland said when asked if he hates everyone on the team or just a lot of them.

When asked what players do with their spare time when on the road, the Blackhawks forward said he tries to stay close to his hotel room when the team is in Vancouver.

"There's a lot of weirdos there," he said. "You don't want to be out there too long."

Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault responded to Bolland's comments following Wednesday's morning skate.*

"Dave*Bolland has an IQ the size of bird seed and a face only a mother can love."

The Canucks and Blackhawks have met 32 times in the last three-plus seasons, and in the last three Stanley Cup playoffs. Vancouver came away with a seven-game victory last spring, and Chicago captured six-game wins in 2010 and 2009.

The two sides clash once again on January 31 live on TSN from*Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

-Just pure hate between them I love it

-Mark Jan 31st on your calendar everyone and make sure to pound the over it's gonna be one rough, ugly, hell of a game

No surprise from Bolland's comments. The real surprise was AV the Nucks coach ripping Bolland apart with this:

"He's got the IQ of a bird seed and A FACE ONLY A MOTHER COULD LOVE."

Best comment from a coach towards an opposition's player I've ever heard

May see it simmer down with this new proposed realignment though

I guess Vancouver is finally in the heads of Blackhawks. I like what Beiska had to say -"If it wasn't for the twins, I don't think anyone would hear about Dave Bolland."

            &

"If he doesn't want them on his team, he's crazy. But it's probably b/c he'd be out of a roster spot"

Classic stuff - This rivalry is great one of the best in hockey

He's French, slight lost in translation line there The second part there was no misintereptation

Bolland is a giant pussy though. Picks on the two softest players in the league but skates away when tougher players challenge him. Hope Bieksa gets a shot at him next game. Lights out you ugly goof

Hahahahahaha...all of your posts with pictures in them are gold.

Side note: Bolland is only a piece to the puzzle, same as Bieksa is only a piece to the puzzle. Neither one of them are excellent hockey players in their own right, but play a huge role in the team's morale etc. Honestly, when these two teams face each other, it's all about which team's front 3 play the best.

Oh, and speaking of pictures...lol, this one is great:

The caption on the website I found this on says "Blackhawks' Brent Seabrook steals Raffi Torres' wallet in Game 3"..haha, it's great when the fans understand the rivalry and get creative.

Alain's response was pretty funny too, although I thought as a coach he would have the class to stay out of this mudflinging. But I guess it's too much to expect anyone attached to the Vancouver organization to have any class. BTW Daniel Sedin's response to the bunk bed comment was freaking hilarious, and he didn't know how to react... Maybe the sisters really do bunk it up?

And the Hawks organization has class?

Toews = sore loser. After losing to the Canucks he made excuses and didn't give them any credit.
                                  Kane and class.....
Bolland = giant pussy. Calling out and humilating the Sedins on the radio? This guy is the definition of scumbag. Acts tough but he's really a puss and won't fight anyone tough. Resorts to highschool bullying tactics to stay in the league. If the Canucks didn't have the Sedins he'd be stocking shelves for a living.

Are the Sedins pussies? Yes of course but the difference is they know this and don't try to act tough like Bolland. Kinda sad the NHL is becoming like the WWE. The Sedins are two of the most talented offensive players in the league and beyond classy. Gretzky was a gi-normous pussy but you didn't see anyone cheap shotting him this often or ever calling him out in public.

Oh give me a break DG. You will never see coach Q verbally insulting opposing players, or doing anything else that makes the organization look bad.

Nothing wrong with Kaner's comments after game 7. They lost half their team and took the Cannots to the brink of elimination. The Cannots were lucky to get by them. If Sharp had potted a goal on that breakaway it would've been a 1st round exit for the Cannots. It wasn't a very convincing victory by any stretch.

And Bolland is an agitator, not a fighter. He knows his role and he's the best at it. If you want Hawks to fight I'm sure Carcillo, Meyers, Scott, or Seabrook will oblige. Not like pansies like Bieksa or Burrows will drop the mitts with those guys anyway... Bolland is just doing his job adding fuel to the fire, and it shows how mentally fragile the Cannots are when they take comments like these so personally.

PS, Bolland is one hell of a player. If it weren't for the Sedin's he'd still be doing just fine without them. Guy has been a standout player his entire career.

Bolland plays the agitator role well for sure but he's crossing the line a bit lately.

He's only good vs the Canucks though, 95% of his highlights in YouTube are vs the Nucks. Might as well just put him in the pressbox until they play again.

Dave Bolland is looking to put an end to the war of words with the Vancouver Canucks.

The Chicago Blackhawks forward attempted to distance himself from his quip about the Sedin "sisters" following a
4-3 shootout victory in Minnesota on Wednesday night.

"I have the utmost respect for the Sedin twins, Alain Vigneault and all the Vancouver Canucks," Bolland told reporters. "It was just a little bit of tongue-in-cheek we had at the little radio show with some of the fans.

"I've got the utmost respect for Vancouver and what they do and what they do on the ice and how they do it."

The Blackhawks agitator drew the ire of the Canucks on Monday when he referred to Daniel and Henrik Sedin as "sisters" in a live radio interview where fans ask questions. He also said the Sedins wouldn't be welcome on his team and that there are a lot of "weirdos" in the city of Vancouver.

                                          The Canucks immediately shot back.

"When you have comments like Bolland's, he's obviously an individual whose IQ is probably the size of a bird seed and he has a face that only a mother could look at," coach Alain Vigneault said Wednesday in Raleigh, N.C.

Chicago and Vancouver have faced one another in the playoffs the last three years. The next meeting between the teams comes Jan. 31 at Rogers Arena.

it's all just for publicity. cant take what a guy who's just a trade away from complete obscurity says seriously. bolland is lucky to be where he is and to be ona cup winning team. they didnt win the cup because of him, they won it becaus of kane, toewes, sharp, keith and niemi. he knows that, and when the salary cap in chicago is getting tighter, i doubt theyll be dumping other players so that they can re-sign Dave Bolland! haha
