Who do you see coming out of the West?

I am thinking Detroit at this point. Just put down 200 SBR points on Detroit at +650. They have the the experience and Howard has looked solid, can't say the same for a couple of other contenders goalies. San Jose looks good, but we all know about them.

Anyone else have thoughts?

Plus the Wangs are an older team and the last few years have proven that younger teams will quickly wear them down in the playoffs. They're still dangerous, but other teams in the West have surpassed them in terms of talent and especially youth. Their success will hinge on their opponents making mistakes.

Chicago has a great chance too.

I HIGHLY doubt anyone would take down 2 of these teams in a run to the top of the west

I am with this guy. It isn't just one game, but this was it for me and the Sharks, take them off the list of possibles, believ that leaves us with 3, Chicago, Detroit and Vancouver.

Not sure about the West, but I like the Rangers to come out of the East. They look like a tough team to beat in a 7 game series.

Ok, have some to re-asses and take a look at the current odds. I have Detroit to win the West at +650, so not going to make another play on them, but is there good value to be had now or perhaps in a few weeks when things may be a bit clearer?

Here is what SBR Sportsbook has for futures to win the West. Nashville really jumps out to me as solid value at this point.. Anyone else see anything they like or have thoughts on who will come out of or at least contend for the West?
