    why did the oilers decide to start sucking?
    any input is appreciated. they were gonna be my gravy train, and now i am too scared to bet on them. i didn't bet on them tonight either because i thought they might be bad, and they were.

    They've been terrible since the Montreal game (which they won through nothing short of a miracle). I think everyone knew that their defense and goaltending were way over-performing (look at that lineup) and now they've just fallen back down to earth is all. In past games their defense has allowed big chances but were bailed out by the .965 sv % of Khabibulin.

    Their on-ice performance and, if rumors can be trusted, their practices as well have been lacking effort from a large portion of the team (which is what is really worrying).

    They're being led by rookies and sophmores so you also have to expect the growing pains that comes with a team like that.

    I would either stay away or start fading them until they can start getting it back together.

    EDIT: Oh yeah, and now they're getting hit by the injury bug. 5 of their starting defensemen are now injured I believe.

      thanks, i know you follow them closely from some past posts. might have to start fading them, can't believe they lost to ottowa by so much.
