Romanov's NHL 2011 Season Thread - Math with a little Intuition
Been playing the nhl publicly here for the last couple of days. Decided I am going to stick with it. My record so far is 5-4 for a +.273 units. Woot! Should be mostly totals with some sides on the side.

    1 unit at risk plays:

    Ottawa/NYR Under 5.5 -130
    NYR -115

Only other lean I have for the night is Nashville/Anaheim Under 5 but it isn't a strong one. Maybe an ounce of value in that line at +115 but its a no play for me.

NO PLAYS on Phila/TB. I have Phila winning by .01 of a goal and the total is spot on at 5.5.

chicago under 5.5 has some kinda shitty line movement but w/e. i have a test to get to in an hour so I might bet out of it afterwards but unless I post here otherwise, it is still a play

Went 1-3 last night so I am 8-7 overall. I am trying something new. Scrapping the old. Lets see how this goes (new record at 0-0 and everything)

The plays above in post #9 will be called the alpha system plays
The plays below are beta system plays. I am not actually betting the beta plays but it is for tracking purposes. Assume all plays are to win 1 unit. Will not play any teams for both systems >+/- 150

                    Washington -130
                    NY Rangers -146
                    Vancouver -110

As much as it hurts me to say...I like the Calgary play. Hawks played really hard last night in a scorcher. If I'm not mistaken, the Blackhawks usually have a way above average home ice advantage , but as of this year..I'm not seeing it.

                      today, Romanov.
