redwings PL chase..... input please.

with this streak as ugly as we have seen from this team in some time....is this now a good spot for us to chase a PL win until they nail it?

Im thinking something like this:

next game:
home to the ducks:
bet them at say $10 or whatever on the PL.
If they dont get the PL win, double next bet plus $10% ( $22) when they face Colorado....

if they lose that double again plus 20% ($48), and continue this method until they finally hit pay-dirt for you.

Is this something that makes sense to you as well? Or do you see this as just throwing away money?

insight appreciated...as I'm thinking they are going to fire out a huge win soon....maybe not tomorrow night vs the ducks....but eventually right?

In my opinion, they hold far too much fire power to not be able to cover this within' maybe the next 3 or 4 games. I think its got some value to it...but do you?

Not chasing the PL but do have the ML alone and in 2 parlays. I decided the other day I will be taking Detroit until they win which is 0-2 for me so far.

I don't like to chase games myself so I wouldn't recommend it. Plus I like the Ducks tonight to win outright.

I don't know much about NHL, but I've been chasing the Wings and it's a nightmare. Something is wrong with that team.

They're suppose to be a firing powerhouse but I think 4-1 of L5 games have hit UNDER including tonight.

They were something like 10-5 v Wild before this year. They've lost L2 games to them recently.

If anything, the better system will be to chase the other team's PL, as I don't see them winning many games by more than 2 pucks.

missed opportunities.....this would have cashed tonight! ah well, I think i'm going to look at all teams, on a 4 game losing streak, then chase bet them on the PL until they win.

This will only apply to certain teams of course, a team like the Blue Jackets will not be worthy of this particular chase.
But teams like the Leafs, Redwings, Blackhawks, Bruins, Flyers, etc.....are for sure worth a play on this to me.

I think this is something that long term will be profitable. especially if we get into having to triple and quadruple the initial wagers, some of these teams could end up gaining value on PL's because of the public's perceived inability to secure a 2 goal victory. I think a perfect example of this would be in the NFL this week, where the New Orleans Saints have lost public confidence, because of a bad game. The general betting public may be inclined to take the Bucs this week, for fear that the Saints have lost "it". I on the other hand, will be on the saints to cover the line, and may in fact sell some points, on Bet365 there is a betting option called : "additional point spread" and currently the line is -8.5 (-110) if i sell points to take the Saints at -10 the price becomes (+105). There is solid value in this play. I personally see this as a "wake up" game for Brees and company, and see them winning by at leat 12 points. I'll play it safe at -10, but if you have the cahones' then you could sell it up to 11.5 at +125.

Its not for everyone, but the ability to manipulate the lines, especially in games where there is too much or not enough of a spread, gives us an ever slight, albeit there, advantage.

I didn't see the thread in time, but I would have said it was a solid plan. I had a big play on the ML tonight and the PL in a parlay (parlay lost though lol)

And to the guy who said Howard isn't good...he had a 1.99 GAA going into the game and now it's 1.77. He's been extremely solid.

Thanks. I thought it made sense, as its very rare to see teams lose upwards of 5,6,7 or 8 games in a row. Especially teams that have a penchant for playing inspired puck. We may have a little one coming up this week.....stay tuned.

Added is the fact we get em' at home playing a team coming off a b2b.
In this same spot detroit covered the PL, and then did it again tonight.

Blackhawks have dropped 3 straight and have the blues tonight. It's tempting, but it does not fit the criteria, so if they lose tonight, then I will add them to the list. If they win, and win by 2, I'll say I should have.

I know man! I'm not stopping this though, any team that I deem to be a good or better than good team coming off a 4 game losing streak this season, will be applied to this chase. If the team ends up winning 2 games after the chase starts without covering the PL, I will stop the pl chase.

Just got to pick better teams than COL and ANA next time. hhaha!

I hope this works out for you. I have to say though, anything with the word 'system' in it will ultimately fail in the long run. If there was any system that produced long term winning without chances of going broke we would all be doing it. BOL though.

I know, this is just something I decided to try out. If I had hit the 1st inclination on the redwings, i'd have been up a little. But chasing is never a good thing......but I'm hoping for a hit by sunday. If not, scrap yet another way to look at things.
Worth a shot, but again, waiting for certain teams to lose 4 in a row, well......I could end up waiting a good while for this.

I won't chase this to game 5 or 6. If it happens within the first 4 I'll be okay with it. If it don't happen, then, well, it joins the long list of systems' that fail.
