Varly will start and the Avs have a bottom 3 defense in the league. Not something you want to match up against a Wings team that is 11 good players deep at FW.

detroit has an easy schedule to start the year and they should get all the points they can vs bottom teams. but beware that detroit did not fare well on back to back games last year.

Detroit played better on the road and went over's almost 80%, the pattern is appeared to cross to this year as well, these guys loves to attack relentless. I am certain that this game will be pug fest & over 6 against Colorado's Swiss cheese defense
