Puckline is a tough bet, I think Florida might keep it close there tough at home. Only 4 regulation losses. I just think vancouver is too fast for them, and hopefully not a let down. Luongo is rested as well

Canucks are a lazy team. They play down to the competition. Team needs some leadership or else it will be a short year for the Canucks. Yes I am bitter because I put my $ on them today...haha. Hopefully, they come to play this third period.

Brutal game. Canucks just can't seem to get up for these type of games for whatever reason. They were prob guilty of looking ahead to the game vs Tampa tomorrow.

Ugh. DG dont sweat it. Must say it I knew this game was a trap. I told my friend to lay off the game, told someone to lay off the puckline cause Florida is good at home and Vancouver had a bad track record in these types of games. Now we neeeeeeeeeed Washington!

Looking ahead to Tampa? Florida is a much better team than Tampa. Hate to say it because I'm a Canucks fan, but the team is mentally and physically soft. They won't win the cup with the current team.

thats why the Canucks are a great bet against good teams..like the other night when they were dogs at Boston and won but they will kill you if you bet them against the teams they should beat

Tampa is still better than Florida and will finish ahead of them if they get any kind of goaltending. Florida has a team of mostly scrubs and the quietest arena in the league almost. Tampa is still the marquee matchup of the two Florida teams. St Louis, Stamkos etc.

I wouldn't overreact to one loss to a mediocre team, they've been doing this all year.

They have one of the best records in the league vs top tier teams so I'm not worried. This team is better than last years team.

The problem is people like yourself and I get suckered into betting them in trap spots like this

I'll never fcuking learn to avoid betting trap games like this.

i've had a tough time consistently judging canucks performance on game-to-game basis because penalties are such a big x factor. they are a good team 5-on-5, but their powerplay is a killer. its really tough to judge how many powerplays they'll get. and in a lot of close games, powerplays are what it can come down to. Tonight against FLA for example, VAN only had 3 powerplays i think. In the Boston game they spent the whole game on the powerplay and got 4 goals on PP. i wouldnt want to take the canucks on a night where they have 3 or fewer pp's, but would love to take them if they're getting 5-6 pp's. I feel that their powerplay helps them that much.

I've had a tough time in the past betting for/against teams that are heavily dependent on their powerplay. you just have no idea how many penalties are gonna get called. penalties are a really big x-factor.

but who knows... i could be wrong.

Yup you are right about their success and the correlation to PP chances. They seem to get the most PP opportunities against their biggest rivals which makes sense. Then tonight they play Florida, a team with no rivalry and beef with at all and they only got 3 chances. The Nucks really seem to thrive on the "big games" and seem to enjoy the games against gritty, rough teams because they really make them pay for their penalties.

They got 4 PP goals vs Boston the other night and had 5 against the Hawks earlier in the year. They really are a big game team and seem to really struggle with their motivation against non rival teams I find.

TB is the 5th highest penalized team(minors) about 4.5 per game.
Nucks are #3 so TB will get a go also.
