Blues lose in another shootout. That is 6 shootout losses I think. The whole things makes me sick. These guys battle for for 3 periods, fight through OT, and then do some bias shootout to settle it. The blues are not made for shootouts. They are not that kind of team. What a terrible system. I say scrap the whole thing.

Yup it is kinda dumb but it's better than just a win or a loss with no single points for the loser. Both teams would play super passively to ensure the single point. Or playing OT til one team wins Would take hours for some games. Maybe a 3 on 3 OT til a goal is scored would be better.

I hear ya though my Nucks have been shitty in the last 3+ years in shootouts where less talented teams like the Avs just dominate them.

Well a solid night tonight. Hit both 2 unit plays and a nice PL.

Looking like my suspicion of the Nucks struggling tonight has come true. 1-1 after the 2nd. I was originally planning on 2-3 units on the TT Over 3.5 which isn't looking too promising right now. Glad I did some extra research and trusted my gut and laid off from going big

Main reason was Dubynk starting for the Oilers. He always seems to play unreal against the Nucks.

DG Just watched the 3rd period of the Van game. Seriously they have to be one of the most overrated teams out there and with some stupid players! Interference for no reason when he could have checked the players, puts his team down a man with a 1 goal lead and 5 minutes to play. Then they give up the goal on the power play. All they had to do was run the clock for 5 minutes and not be stupid and commit a penalty. I think they proved last year just how overrated they really are. Not trying to down your favorite hockey team but they could be so much better than they are.

They always play down to inferior teams levels unfortunately it's been a problem for the last 5 years. They play unreal vs the elite teams but shitty vs the bad teams. Not sure how they proved how they were overrated last year they went to game 7 of the cup finals

Can understand your frustration though they have tilted me dozens of times when I bet on them. Luckily I'm slowly learning to use my Canucks betting filter

Yeah, I hate phucking shoot outs also. I wish they would go back to ties, so much better. If a team knows they may not be getting a point, they will play a lot harder in OT, not just sit back and be happy with the point they know they are guarunteed to receive.

Don't you remember the old days? Teams totally both sat back and guaranteed the single point. Just imagine the grinder teams like Nashville, Rangers etc they wouldn't even leave their zone if the old OT rules were brought back

Also as a fan I remember how brutal those OT losses were to take. Just tilted me so bad

The point is automatically credited to each team tied after 60 minutes. Playing defence during OT only benifits good shootout teams.

-Obviously not hitting at the high rate I am used to and expect to but after that atrocious start in October I'm pretty happy with where I'm at and where I'm headed Losing $1300 earlier in the year on one game really hurt the overall numbers or it would be a completely different story right now

Not sure I will have the time or patience to add up all the different records for totals, 1st period overs, sides etc but I will attempt it during the next couple of days
