I met Patrice Bergeron last week
He was doing an autograph gig at Macy's in downtown boston last week. first 250 people. i had to wait in line about 45 mins, but it was worth it. Got two authentic bruins t shirts, including the authentic stanley cup champions locker room shirt. Got both shirts autographed. He was cool as shit too. I had a quick chat while he was signing my autographs. shook his hand, thanked him, and said it means a lot to the city. and i thanked him again because i told him i bet the bruins at 17-1 in november and won 7,000. he started laughing hahahahaha.

I had an authentic bruins 2011 cup champs puck as well. took it out of my pocket and was about to ask him to autograph that too but security flocked over in a heartbeat and was like "no personal items" and started strong arming me.

he was cool as shit too. But to be honest, it's not that special. i've seen some of the guys around before. Almost half the damn team lives in the north end (chara, ference, etc.). Could get their autographs for free if i really tried. but what the heck.

I've seen Lucic and Horton at Morton's before too. Apparantly, they go there quite often. it's the one on the border of Southie by seaport/world trade center. They have their own wine locker there too.

            Never payed for an autograph.

Got Mike Bossy's, Bobby Hull's, Gretzky's and few other lesser known players, including a few old Bruin players like Wes Walz and Al Pederson to name a couple.

i know where you're coming from about it not being a big deal, yet it is....
i got to meet claude giroux last year after a game where he'd scored a shortie. i told him i expected a few more out of him and he laughed...i thought 1 item to sign would be pushing it(t-shirt i picked up at the game) but he signed a shirt, a puck and a picture for my wife. but she's got great
