The fact is, Luongo has been outstanding these playoffs and has won 15 games so far. More than any other goalie. Isn't winning what it's all about? Thomas has been outstanding as well and it Boston wins it in 7 games, he would likely be the winner. Not a clear winner IMO just yet.
I feel like vancouver could have done just as well with Schneider in net

And I don't think that Lou outplayed Thomas the games in vancouver necesarily, game 5 comes to mind because I remember thinking Thomas played better, games 1 and 2 were a while ago I don't recall

It's over. The Conn Smythe is over. Tim Thomas has it. It's over. There is no debating. It is over. If you see a book offering thomas the Conn Smythe at -250, it's a gift. Take it. There is not a 2nd runner up that comes close to thomas. kessler? joe thornton? sedins? roloson? give me a break. Thomas already has it.

But not to mention... i dont care about conn smythe i care about cup. go bruins!

dwayne roloson? never heard of a player going out in the conference finals being nominated as the playoff mvp. unless youre using him to make a point that there is nobody at all who compares to thomas?in that case, i 100% agree. while luo has been great almost all playoffs it was the efforts of all the canucks that got them where they are. but thomas has single handedly gotten his team to where they are now. nucks all the way!

i was responding to what other people were saying going into the 3rd round of the playoffs. He is not a big contender at this point. At that time (conf finals), he was a candidate. He was great before he ran into boston. I do not think he is close. But at the time, before tampa played boston, he was a contender along with thomas (thomas was ahead in my mind of course). easy to look back now and say no way. But, going into conference finals, Roloson was good. Then he had a few bad games against boston.

I was just comparing the other contenders. Anyone who thinks Kessler, Joe Thornton, Luongo, or either of the Sedin sisters beats Thomas (in Conn Smythe running)....

you should undergo an insanity evaluation from a doctor. I do not say this often. i love civil debates. i do not want to put anyone down. but, if you think that Joe Thornton or Kessler or Henrik Sedin AKA Mr. Embellisher AKA Mr. Diver... deserves conn smythe more than thomas... hey... i'd just go to a doctor and get checked out. and take an IQ test along the way. Heck, it wouldn't even be that bad. The way the USA is devoted to big government now, you might even get bundles of money.

We should be in for a great game 7. Either way, this has been a great series! Go Bruins!

i watched most of the tb/bos series and thought roloson and thomas were almost equal and considering rolosons age, thats pretty unreal. too bad age doesnt factor in to conn smythe contention. i dont think the sedins were ever a contender for the conn smythe and have been pretty dissapointing this entire playoffs. they contribute in their own ways, too bad scoring hasnt been one of them. kesler was huge getting nucks to the finals and since its the overall playoffs mvp, he's still a contender. as for luo, dont let a few bad games overshadow everything else. thomas had a few himself. anything over 3 or 4 goals against in a game is not something to brag about and he had some of those. i still think thomas wins it though, not arguing you. but its not impossible it can go to somebody else.
youre right its been a pretty good series, although i prefer the low scoring games (wins or losses) over the blowouts. bol on wednesday
