so he gets bombed for 8 in one game, and comes back strong to allow only 4 in the next!!!!
I honestly think Luongo's head is egged up right now, his confidence is cracked, and any early Bruins goal is going to throw him right outta whack. Even if its a goal that ties the game up 1-1, it will crack him. He lost his patience, the first goal against him in the last game was 5 hole, and that should have been stopped, but he reacted too early, as in trying to guess....and that's a sign of a goalie trying to hard. When Luongo' tries too hard, he gets shelled....when his confidence is cracked, he is the most unreliable goalie in the game. When he is on, he is easily top 5. Which one shows up tonight? I think the only thing going for the canucks is that they are back at home, a place in which they were lucky to escape 2 very narrow victories, and yes, Luongo was on his game then.
One quick visit to Beantown brought him back to reality, and that reality is the guy 200 feet across from him on the other end of the ice, is was and has been the best goalie this year, hands down- and that's gotta be playing in the back if Luongo's mind. It almost seems as if he is now trying to emulate Thomas, (flopping and trying to react to plays instead of sitting in his comfort zone, cutting down angles and making himself big to the shooter - a true butterfly stance goalie) and playing someone' else's style instead of your own usually results in bad guessing...which results in losing efforts, which will result in Boston winning the cup, and Luongo being names with guys like Marino (NFL), Reggie Miller (NBA), Steve Nash (NBA), Pat Lafontain (NHL), Phil Hously (NHL), mats sundin (NHL), Marcel Dionne (NHL), I can go on and on, but you get what i'm saying......
wow, i'll stop ranting.
GO BRUINS!

It is a team game with some guys making plays and others choking. it is not like tennis or golf when it is just you. No one to blame. either you get it done or you lose. no blaming refs, or injured teammates or dropped balls or missed field goals. yada yada yada
