    Rome suspended for rest of finals
    Just in - heard it on ESPN sportscenter. Rome suspended rest of stanley cup finals for hit (4 games). Horton obviously better player than Rome, so this hurts bruins much more. Opinions? agree/disagree? I didn't think the hit was that high, but i did think it was late. Horton would have avoided this if he had his head up. he was staring lat left side of ice at puck. That's why he got blindsided. He just didn't have his head up. But, the hit was late (in my opinion). Then again, what do i know? lol. Would like to hear what everyone thinks.

    Scott Stevens wouldn't have a career in today's NHL. He hit guys like that nightly.

    Agree it was late but the hit was clean. NHL is a joke now.

    Horton = Lindros 2.0

      2 minutes for roughing because the hit was a little high.
      That's where it should of ended.

      Obviously, nothing else would have been done if their wasn't a gurney brought out on the ice.

        It is not consistent with previous suspensions this year.
        Bad hit and deserved a susp. but this is way over board.
        They have changed the rules during the season.
        If they did this from the start then it makes sense.
        I hope they keep this precedent for next year and hope Horton is okay.

          I hate how the NHL bases suspensions on the severity of the injury these days. I mean if Horton gets up right away it's 2 for interference on the hit and that's it. There was no head shot or anything. Was the hit necessary? Obviously not, Rome hit him late.

          Either way the Bruins losing Horton is way worse than the Nucks losing their #5 defenceman. Thornton yapping at Rome on the bench pretty well initiated this whole series of events to begin with. It's too bad about Horton being in pretty bad shape, I respect him as a player and a person. Thoughts and prayers go out to Horton and his family.
