The prop is only for the nickname, so Winnipeg or Manitoba is irrelevant. The organization is getting a lot of pressure from the media and the fans to be called the Jets and the club already stated they are going to be doing some focus-group type research before a decision is made. I'd be shocked if they went with something else...

unless they leave it up to a vote by the fans (who i think would unanimously choose the jets) im sure the suits would come up with some kind of weird name that involves the word "jets" in it thinking itll give them a new look but keep some of the history. polar jets, super jets, moose fightin jet pilots(i think this could be a sweet jersey eh?...maybe not) then eventually theyll change it to just the jets. i wonder if bodog would still honour this bet if it happened. i wish i took the prop bet "will they sell 13,000 tickets by june __" i just heard over 5000 are sold, and it hasnt even been made available to the general public yet

1st - even if they do change the name fans will still wear their Jets jerseys to the game

2nd - if they keep the "Jets" they will without a doubt update the look to something more modern and still reap all the benefits of people buying the new jersey

It would be absolutely dumb to re-brand the "Jets". Everybody loves them...even non-Winnipeg fans. Even the jersey is still one of the more popular ones in league history...

Changing to a new name would mean a better economy for the city, Everyone will have to buy new gear.

I like the Wolves or Falcons. I think it will be the Falcons.
