    Most Over Used Phrase This Playoffs...
    "No Chance On The Play" - Upon review of a goal... the broadcaster suggests the goalie had No chance on the play... with all due respect of the matter... HE DID. His ass just wasn't in the right place. So technically he did have a chance on the play...

    If I hear one more commentator use this phrase... which DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!!!!



    And don't say... "HE CLEARED IT BUT IT'S NOT OUT"

    For F's sake...

                  i'd have to disagree with the first phrase. What commentators mean when they say goalie 'had no chance on that' is that there's not a goaltender in the world who could have saved that shot. Normally, its off a 1-timer from a 2-on-1, or a 2-on-1 where goalie makes initial save but then nets wide open for a rebound. some shots they goalies just dont have a chance. its not always the goalies fault. physically, nothing is impossible. i see what you're saying. but the commentators mean that, given the capabilities of a goaltender in hockey, there's nobody that could save that. goalies can't get from one side of net to other going 800mph with all their gear on which slows them down. if they move one side of net to other, make a sprawling great 1st save... but puck bounces in front of other side of net and someone tips it in with a wide open net, its not the goalies fault. he literally had no chance. no goalie in the world could save that. i see what you're saying.. but in some situations the comment doesn't bother me. goalies are human.
