Nothing set in stone yet for me as i havnt had a chance to look anything over but thats my initial lean. give any info, stats or reasons for your pick and well see if we can get some winners for tomorrow! good luck!

#4Canucks lost their last 2 game 5's where they had a chance to eliminate a team at home and there isn't much value at -175, I would go with SJComment -

#6Full disclosure: I live in Vancouver and I'm biased as to who I want to win the series.
I bet Vancouver in Game 1 and San Jose in Game 3. To me, the other games were coinflips. I knew Vancouver would control Game 1 as no matter how much the Sharks pressed early, they wouldn't have the legs to compete for 60 minutes after going 7 with Detroit and not having much rest in between. Game 3 to me was SJ's best chance to win a game in the series and they came through in the clutch situation. I thought Vancouver would take Game 4, but it could have gone either way.
Now, going into Game 5, you know the Sharks will be playing for their season. The Canucks have been a bit weak on closing out series so far (Chicago was a disaster...) and came into this series more confident than against the Hawks/Preds because they match up better with the Sharks than the other two. Now with the chance to take the series in 5 and potentially get an extra few days of rest before facing the winner of the east, they're going to bring the intensity in Game 5 that they didn't have in earlier series when trying to close them out. They need this win and they know it, already short two defensemen due to injuries. The cost of having to make another trip to SJ is high for them, and they'll be all business on Tuesday.
I'm not as confident in the outcome of Game 5 as I was for Games 1 & 3, but it's close. I like the Canucks in regulation: VAN -0.5 (-105).Comment -

#13I smell OT tonight.
If this happens, I kinda lean towards the Sharks, as they are something like 5-0 in OT these playoffs..
But it's early, more news pending......
lets get em.

#15Got to go with VAN they are just playing too good overall....If they lose chase them till they win, but I don't think that will happen...Sometimes you got to suck up some juice....
I saw this stat during the regular season: The Vancouver Canucks are the first team since the 1970-something Canadians to lead the league in both GF and GA.....That Canadian team won the Cup....To me this is a very powerful stat....
Hop on the Canuck train, down a few Canadian Cold One's, and enjoy the ride
EDIT (stat ad): NHL all time, team at home leading best of 7 series 3-1 in the semi-finals is 32-9 (.780) to win this game in this situation, and over all teams leading 3-1 in the semi-finals are 61-1 (.984) to win the series at some pointComment -

#16I like stats too!!:
San Jose has 5 players who have won cups. (Dan Boyle, Ben Eager, Kent Huskins, Niclas Wallin, Antti Niemi.)
Vancouver has one. (Mikael Samuelsson.)
VAN is 2-4 in the playoffs with a chance to eliminate an opponent (0-2) in first attempt
SJ has won 3 out of their past 4 game 5's on the road
Niemi is 1-0 when facing elimination
VAN has gone 1-4 at home in game 5's since the lockout
SJ has lost 4 straight road games, allowing 17G, 10 of which have come in the 3rd period
this all equals one heck of a hockey game tonight.
ENJOY!!!Comment -

#17even as a Sharks fan I don't know how you can take them here. not questioning their heart but their execution. The only reason to take them is just to fade the public. And some of those stats are so meaningless; Sharks 5-0 in OT, that's more of chance and probability than being an "OT team" you're probobly better off fading that stat than backing it. I'll watch and hope for a miracle... but I'll just be hopingComment -

#23Just a 'gut feel' here but it appears Vancouver seems to be getting stronger as this series is progressing. Remember their only loss was 4-3 in SJ and they were coming on hard in that one even though SJ jumped out to early 3-0 lead. Agree the juice is high but it seems SJ has had their chances in this series and have not been able to capitalize.
Small play on Van moneyline for me. Good luck in your wagers.Comment -
