The officiating crew dropped the ball in this game. Making bad calls that changed the momentum of Tampa Bay and missing calls in the final ten minutes.

Hopefully TB bounces back from this officiating.

2nd time in boston... Game 2 and now game 5. hooking, slashing, tripping, nope play on. Lightning players don't even do anything and they are sent to the box. total BS.

agreed. That game reminded me of watching hometown refs in the NBA.

That one open ice hit on the Lightning late in the 3rd was brutal. No idea how that wasn't called interference, the puck was nowhere near him

i know right. I caught that while the camera was spanning across towards the TB zone. Not even to mention the tripping call around the 4/5 minute mark in the 3rd. Even Pat Foley and Eddie O made that missed call clear after the commercial break.

It's sad that the lightning don't get a fair shake. They are the better team in this series, but I don't think they're good enough to beat those refs.

This year the refs are taking over in NBA and NHL and its sad. I cant take this $hit anymore. Im up nearly 3 times my starting BR close to 6 figures for the entire season and i think it may be time to quit for me. Its hard to cap a game when it comes down to the refs taking over. Its a sad day in sports now and something really needs to be done. I really think it may just be upper management trying to get fans somehow in the NBA obviously but i dont know what is going on in the NHL, cmon 3 goals on a 5on3 the other day WTF was that?????

lightning got away with some calls in game 4. Smith made a huge very clear trip of (i think krejci) and got a no call. there was also a very blatant interference tampa got away with in game 4, if i remember correctly. nothing surprises me more than how the linesmen never call offsides. I see so many offsides that are never called. from every team in playoffs not just this matchup.

Why do refs want to dictate games? Just let the players decide the outcome of the games.. I'd rather see them let things go rather than be inconsistent on these calls... The need to understand it's the playoffs.. Different from the regular season...

but at least in hockey if you can somehow get it in the net it almost always counts, unlike soccer. yes basketball is really weirdly officiated, tons of fouls on dirk nowitski last night and they weren't called, even amateur refs could have seen the fouls, but players can beat these refs by playing very very well. lightning must do this next two games.
