Well, I guess I was right about the sweep part, just made a horrible mistake on the team doing the sweeping.

I will gladly take this one black eye for my miserable prediction. More than worth it to see the Caps under achieve again. Fukk I hate the Capitals.

Cannot believe I ignored my own pre-playoff comments: Philly has no goaltending, Washington has no toughness or goaltending.

How beautiful was the Stamkos goal though that made it 3-3? Name one goalie in the league that stops that shot. None. High slot, eyes no where near the net, shooting across the grain, nearly as hard as some guys' slap shot and just inside the top left corner? Ridiculous...Make no mistake, I still hate Tampa and think they are getting better results than they are playing, but that goal was amazing. How many players in the NHL could pick that corner with that much velocity while standing still, let alone skating in a crowd of players?

the way the Tampa "trap" has thwarted the Caps offense has been beautiful. the Caps are not a team that can dump and chase, dig the puck out, and set up. Not with those russians trying to stickhandle through 3 forwards acting as defenders coming through the zone.

I don't think anyone really saw this coming to be honest. Wonder what the series odds were on a Tampa sweep? Probably +2000 at least. The Caps lack of passion and chemistry is doing them in, along with mediocre goaltending. Well at least they made it out of round one this year

The Capitals are not built for a playoff series....The teams that win in the playoffs have great defense and role players... The Capitals don't and now that the top scores are struggling know one is stepping up...

+2500 if not more. I think I saw close to +3000.

Must admit, never saw this coming, low series line = most likely dog wins but never thought 3-0 to start. lol

the lightning would sweep anyone playing like that. Defense, killing all of those PP's, and exceptional goal tending is what it takes to win it all. The lightning and the Bruins are both peaking at the right time. Now the Bruins really worry me as a lightning fan. They are not going to be pushovers.

it usually helps when you post your picks prior to the series being over. Just a thought for you moving forward. I find it hard to believe you didn't lose money judging by the title of this very thread. I'm not a hater, but you still insist the caps, who just got swept without winning a single game, were the better team. Bitter much?
