beginning of playoffs were all unders, then it reversed to all overs in the middle games.

now start betting under again. I guarantee more games finish under than over.

Guarantee? I kind of like the over for both games tonight. I think the Flyers will bounce back like they did after game 1, and the Nashville/ Anaheim series has been well over in every game. (Except game 1 in which they still put up 5 goals combined)

It is silly to place bets using past history. Sure, if the teams were the same, but they are not. Even a few players can change the whole dynamic. Picking totals depends more on goalies mental strength to handle playoff pressure, veteran defense, and which coaches know what to do with special teams. Not because last year they went bla bla bla.

I think if you make your bets based on things "evening" out from round-2-round, you'll go broke. You have to look at the matchups regardless of what you perceive & look at how the games play out early in the series. Look at Montreal-Boston, lots of goals in the regular season and that is now coming out in the later games. Nashville-Anaheim goals ALL season and a ridiculous allergy to going above 5 on the O-U by bookies in that series even though goals have flowed in that series. Same thing with DET-PHX. Six goals pretty regular in the regular season + first few games of the playoffs, but books did not adjust and kept o5.5 at plus money for the whole four game set. San Jose-LA is staying at 5, but would you trust it to finish under with as well as the Sharks are doing now?

I'm all for intelligent discussion, but throwing out guarantees is just stupid. And based on what? Last year? Yes that's a great sample size.

Ill give you the benefit of the doubt and see how it works out after today....but I've been around long enough to know that "guarantees" are red flags because they don't exist in the betting world.
