Hockey Prop of the Day

Some of you know that I'm good at hitting plays on my home teams. I've decided to start posting them for all to see more often, instead of just in Thad's book thread.

Yesterday's play on the Tigers hit, so lets go for another one:

P.Datsyuk Goals+Assists+SOG Over 5 (-115)

This would have hit comfortably in 3 of the last 4 games. Lets get it tonight as well!

I am def not saying you're wrong and also live in Detroit area so have a little more heart in this as well but the last game in Phoenix he only had 1 SOG and no shots and no assists even though they had 4 goals. Do you think this had to do with the playoff/home ice advantage or just bad luck for him that night?

Yeah, last game was the first time in the last 5 that it wouldn't have hit. He spent some of his ice time on the PK, and the quick goals in the beginning meant he didn't have to be out there as much late. The other games he's had 8+ total, so I think there's at least a good chance it hits. Hopefully he puts a couple in and closes this series out!

Caps/Rangers haven't had a goal in 1P in all 3 games of the series so far. Prop right now of +260 - no goal in 1P, worth a little shot you think?

darn missed the post, but yeah I think that would have been worth a small play.

I've decided to go pretty much Detroit-only on my plays. Up a ton lifetime on them, while just about broke-even on other plays.

It datsyuk puts up these kind of numbers, Detroit will win easily.

I'm not sure if it's because props can't be parlayed or it's considering them correlated, but 5Dimes isn't allowing it. If your book does though, it's definitely worth a shot.

I do, but sweeps are hard to pull off. I think Phoenix will try to force the tempo tonight, so it'll be a good game.

I'm probably not going to play the side, but if you do it's Detroit or nothing.

i use 5 dimes as well, and i think your Prop is as solid as any imo....Too bad i have my bankroll all tied up, or i wuda jumped on this so quick.....if u ever stumble on a prop like this one dont be shy, just PM me with your play.....I will do the same if i feel i have a solid, solid play....Just in case you want my opinion, take Nashville(-0.5) regulation tonight(15 min left) (+112) ITS A WINNER!!!!

one question matt, in the prop 1435 datsjuk goals+assists(-140) what exactly does that mean? Datsjuk scores and has an assist? or either one or another? im confused, seems like goals+assists+SOG over 5 should be more favorite...help me out. I never bet props in hockey, only football(and extremely successfull at that)

That prop is betting player vs. player. So which player of the two (Datsyuk or Whitney) will have a higher total of Goals+Assists in the game. Obviously, Datsyuk is favored there too.

I like that play too, but the other one more because it includes shots on goal. Bryzgalov may be due to have a decent game in net tonight. Either way, I expect Datsyuk to play hard and try to put this series to bed.
